The standard VGA analog board hack actually allows you to run your display at 800x600 @60 Hz if you configure your sense lines per Takky's instructions. Unfortunately, the tube's dot-pitch is so lousy that the additional detail is lost in blur, and the entire practice results in an exersize in eye strain.

There are a number of LCDs made that fit the CC's monitor opening, aren't too wide for the case, and offer SVGA resolution. The discontinued Hosiden HLD0804 series works nicely, but is very difficult to find. A more readily available panel is the Unipac UB084S01 (http://62.245.135.198:80/ds/product.asp?dept%5Fid=115&sku=UP+02+001)

Controllers and cables to actually run these panels can be found at http://www.digitalview.com. Unfortunately, any LCD project is apt to be costly.
