Subject: 4.7KOhm resistor to Pin 20 of a/b connector

I'm still trying to find the frogeye site (That list of URLs that used to appear at the start of the forum main page would be handy) but the CCSCC's Colour Classic FAQ also mentions adding this resistor.

I think you have something here, especially as my CC a/b lacks the J78/79 jumpers which is the circumstances in which the CCSCC recommends doing this. Has anyone done the VGA mod. on a J78/79 pins _without_ adding the 4.7K resistor and had the thing work?

What I'm unsure of from the brief answer in the CCSCC FAQ, is how to rig pin 20 to both pin 24, and to BD7's Pin 9 (via the 4.7K resistor?) Presumably, you have a seperate connection going to each, but I'll wait untill I find some more leads on this mod. before doing anything. From the CCSCC's FAQ, I'm not even sure if you still connect pins 20 and 24 (presumably you do, otherwise the sense-coding wouldn't work, but would it be OK with the VGA Method given on the CC-megaFAQ, or would I have to splice the IDC cableing as described on the CCSCC pages?)

I'll do more reasearch, but _any_ hints would be very much appreciated

Cheers,
Adam.
