Subject: Success!

Well, it took a couple of hours (When did I last post? That was when I started.) but I'm done with the upgrade and all the adjustments to the geometry. Looks like I'll want to get one of those capacitors for CL26; anyone know of a good source of 1kV caps in the appropriate range here in the US?

One small note: Larry Pina's Color Test Pattern Generator was invaluable in helping me set the geometry on the screen when I was done.

Small note #2: I didn't have plastic adjustment tools, but not wanting to spend any more $$ or accidentally electrocute myself, I took a couple Allen wrenches the right size and slipped a piece of insulation from a spare PS/2 cable I had lying on the workbench over them. Worked like a charm. If you want to do this yourself, just make sure you remove the innards of the cable first (needlenose pliers are great for this) and then lube the wrench or you'll never get it in there.
