 Hello. My name is Paul, a 47 year old married father of four - fraternal twin boy and girl age 13, girl age 11, and boy age 8 - living in the U.S. Midwest.

We are a loving and tight-knit family and also one that strongly adheres to traditional values. Our children are expected to be well behaved in and outside of the home, perform well in school, participate in extra curricular activities, and contribute positively in the community.

As a traditional values family, spanking is the primary (really only) form of corrective discipline employed in our home. Discipline is handled in stern but fair manner and is entirely my responsibility as the patriarch of the household. We will use spanking until either a) we find it no longer effective or b) the child leaves home and is no longer dependent upon us.

To a small measure of surprise, I have recently discovered that spanking is more common than I had previously believed. In discussing family matters among friends, coworkers, with other members of our congregation, spanking is alive and well in our neck of the woods.

I look forward to sharing my thoughts and experiences and offering my and my family’s perspective here on this page. Thank you.
