I never kept a log. I can only rely on memory, which isn't that good. What I do remember is that around 10 was my max frequency. I got the strap bare somewhere around 3 times a month on average with a lot of variability. By the time I was 12 that had gone down to 2 or less, but they were for more serious misbehaviors and thus more severe. Then at 14 my parents changed from the leather strap to the lexan paddle so the welts wouldn't show at PE the next day. The number of swats doubled, however, because the strap hit both cheeks each swat while the hairbrush sized and shaped paddle only hit one. Therefore, the spankings stung, and still sting more than the strap while the spanking is in progress, especially towards the end when I'm getting the second dozen spanks or so, but the sting doesn't last as long and doesn't hurt deep down like the strap did. That doesn't answer your question about frequency, though. All I can say is that the frequency has decreased steadily during the last 3 years so that now, at 17, I'm down to less than one a month.

I've never been able to "withhold tears" to demonstrate defiance or for any other reason. I don't even try not to scream and cry when I'm getting it. I rather suspect that if I did the spanking would just continue until I did cry. I'm not about to experiment to find out, though, even if I could.

As for my blue eyes and baby face getting me some sort of a pass - HAH! More likely that my cute little bare buttocks encouraged, not discouraged, the spanking. That's a question that will probably never be answered, however.
