I can see the logic in what they’re doing-

1st Trad Sets- they start these before they get the rest of the figure results from tabulation to get the awards ceremony done as quickly as possible.

2nd Youngest-oldest teams
It’s good to not keep young children up until late.

3rd Adults
The adults are done for the weekend and can stay up late.

I get that the awards run late- there are a lot of competitions on that day. It takes some to award them. I’m just glad they started doing two stages so there isn’t as much lag time between awards. Besides, the awards get done with teams at 7pm max before moving on to the adults. With proper preparation a Sunday dancer can be in bed by 8:30pm.
