Subject: Lazy Judging

Is it just me, or has the judging been really lazy lately? In the past THREE comps in SoCal that we have attended, there have been 3, 4, 5, and 6 way ties for individual solo dances in open championship competitions, which obviously skews the overall results. That is unacceptable. We are paying (with our registration) for judging and the judges are not doing their job. Last weekend in Colorado there was a three way overall tie for first place in U15 opens. Ridiculous. I'm tempted to throw the judges names out, but I won't....yet. I will not support or attend any feis where these judges are judging anymore. Teachers, PLEASE insist that judges do not tie dancers like this--especially in championship competitions. It's so frustrating.
