My wife and I and most parents in our church community believe that is not how they should react. If a parent spanks in the right spirit and circumstances we think that is exactly how they should NOT feel. Secure in the knowledge that the spanking is beneficial for the boy or girl and the family, a parent should regard administering a spanking as a warm, bonding, fulfilling experience.
