Had something similar for me and my sister but my parents used the name of a TV show "truth or consequences". If there was something we did they would give us a chance to come clean. They would sit us down and tell us what we were being punished for. For some reason for me alone, my folks said im more likely to be truthful with a sore bottom under threat of somemore. My father would have me bare my bottom and bend over and he would hit me several times with either a belt, a small paddle or a wooden spoon. It would not count towards my punishment. Then we would begin. My folks would tell me what i did then i would have to explain in detail. If i tell them matches up what they knew then my pending punishment would be cut in half but if i lied or told a different story then my punishment would be doubled or tripled depending on the extent of the lie.
