I got my last at 17 and they only stopped because my behavior was such that it was unnecessary. My younger brother lived at home for two years after high school and I know he got his butt whooped a few times in the 18/19 age range. When and where I grew up spankings did not stop because someone hit a certain age, they stopped when either you moved out or you demonstrated you were mature enough to avoid making choices that led to spankings.
