Tim, you wrote that you were aware of 14 year old boys being taken over the knee and spanked bare bottom by the female principal. Since she spanked all kids the same way, does that mean she gave these spankings by hand? Or did she spank older kids with an implement?

You also mentioned kids at 12-13 who might have hit puberty were taken over the knee and spanked bare ass. Were spankings given solely in the principal’s office, or were they ever given in front of other kids?

I’m asking because it leads into my questions for OldTimer1948. The concept of bigger kids in elementary school, particularly 4th and 5th graders, being spanked bare bottom in front of the class does seem to qualify as a form of public humiliation. The fact that this was acceptable by the vast majority of adults as recent as 1980 shows how quickly society has changed its values. My first question is, did you personally witness 5th grade boys and/or girls spanked bare bottom in front of other kids or in front of the whole class?

My second question is, with regard to the teacher who chose to enforce public bare bottom spanking for the most serious offenses, can you provide an example of a punishment you witnessed where this teacher deliberately chose to expose a child’s nakedness to the eyes of his/her classmates? I’m curious what the child did to deserve this, and how they reacted when they were informed of their imminent humiliation.
