Momma's weapon of choice was a walnut hairbrush! Applied to our, myself and my two sisters, Betty and Peggy's bare bottoms whilst over her lap. THE HAIRBRUSH, as I remember, was a very popular choice for Moms in those days: the Sixties and Seventies. I was born and raised in the South where THE SWITCH had a real notoriety! But as I remember it, most Moms put their faith in and relied on The Hairbrush! And recalling just how much it HURT when applied to our bare behinds, I can understand why!
