Growing up I got spanked with a variety of implements. A pink plastic hairbrush, a wooden spoon, a slipper and perhaps for me the most unusual of all, a kitchen spatula! Mum tended to use what ever was nearest to hand when it came to giving me a good hiding. The spatula became one of her favourite weapons. The business end was I recall very effective at 'frying' things; whether these things were items of food or my bare buttocks! God that black plastic stung like the devil on the bare skin! What was most interesting, however, was the marks it left on my bottom! Rectangular, fan like squares with a row of either horozontal, vertical or diagonal stripes, depending on what angle or direction the spatula swooshed down onto my bum, evenly spaced out all over my backside. The stripes were quite pronounced and raised, like welts and were painful to touch! The marks lasted a few days and sitting comfortably was not easy! Mum was very impressed with the spatula! It was an impressive spanking implement for sure!
