As someone who was paddled at school in a skirt that wound up being too short, I certainly understand how she felt. My paddling was done in his office so the only witness to it other than himself was the secretary he called in to "witness". The school system required girls to have a female witness if they were being paddled by a man. If a woman was paddling a girl, no witness was actually required although many would go ahead and get a witness. In fact, the only women I knew of and one from personal experience that paddled girls without a witness in Jr. High or High School were the Girl's Gym Coaches. I got paddled twice by the Coach in Jr. High and my butt was slightly exposed the first time with the shorts I was wearing and I had to bend over and grab my ankles for two licks in front of the class. The second time, a girl and I got into a fight and we were in the gym uniforms which unfortunately rode up badly when we had to bend over to be paddled. My butt was almost half bare for the three licks. Both of us had a little bit of bruising from that. But In the case of the Assistant Principal. He had his Secretary witness when he paddled girls. When he had me bend over the desk. I had to literally lay across it with my feet on the floor and my arms stretched out in front of me. Instead of actually witnessing the paddling, the Secretary was told to go to the side of the desk where he normally sat, and stand there holding my wrists so I couldn't move my hands and I was feeling like my skirt was riding up really high in that position. Not counting the fact that I was wearing nylon panties and I could tell I had a wedgie and no chance to adjust it. That had me pretty scared, then when he tapped the paddle against my bottom. The paddle was pressing against bare skin. I was able to look back enough to see that he was holding the paddle with both hands. He had a reputation for paddling really hard. So hard that ninth grade boys who got paddled in jeans would come out of his office bawling. There was no way he could not have seen that my butt was half bare before he paddled me, and he didn't care. He tapped it against my butt a few times then drew back and hit me full force holding it with both hands like he was swinging a ball bat. With the first lick, I tried to scream and couldn't the second, I screamed bloody murder and the final lick I ended up on the floor holding my butt and bawling at the top of my lungs after the Secretary let go of my wrists. My butt wound up severely bruised and had blood blisters on it from the holes on the paddle hitting my bare skin. I was limping badly after the paddling and when after I got home, I was still whimpering from the pain and gave Momma the note to sign saying I had cut class, and was given the option of a week of detention and EC Suspension or take Three licks and I chose the licks. Since I had cut class and got paddled. Momma got the hairbrush and was going to spank my bare butt. She took me to the living room and made me drop my panties and bend over her knee. I was crying and begging her not to spank me while she scolded me. Once I was in position she raised my skirt to spank me and saw the shape my butt was in. I heard her say "Oh My God" then she pulled my skirt back down and took me to my bedroom. She made me take of my skirt and panties and put ice packs on my butt and stay in bed. My butt was badly bruised and swollen. I couldn't sit at all and she and I walked back to the school the next morning and she had a Come to Jesus Meeting with the Assistant Principal, Principal and Secretary. I was standing behind her while she was sitting and they didn't want to believe I was hurt all that bad until she had me come out from behind her. She had me show them my injured butt. The Principal was shocked to find out the Assistant had hit me that hard and assured Momma that nothing like that will ever happen again. She told him, You're damn right because I'm removing the permission I gave to allow my children to be spanked at school. The Principal gave me an excused absence for the rest of the week to allow me time to recover and the Assistant was removed from that position. The secretary was told she was no longer allowed to assist in corporal punishment. She could be asked to witness a girl getting paddled but she could NOT hold them down, and if it ever happened again, she'd be fired. At the end of the Year the Former Assistant Principal's contract expired and was not renewed. The following Monday, I returned to school. My butt was still pretty bruised but I was able to sit without too much difficulty.

After getting a paddling like that and seeing countless news reports of children being injured like that when they got paddled at school, I became an opponent of Corporal Punishment at School. My kids go to the same schools I went too because we live in the same neighborhood I grew up in just a couple of streets over. But this school system abolished corporal punishment two years before my oldest son was born. If CP was still an option at these Schools, I wouldn't allow my kids to get paddled at school. They can give them a detention or whatever and I'll spank them at home.
