I am glad that I did not have corporal punishment in school. I don’t think my mom would have allowed it, anyway.

She had an incident when she was 14 where she was paddled by a male teacher in front of the class instead of out in the hallway where they were supposed to do it. She said she was wearing a very short skirt and that he got a bit of a view. She found the whole thing very inappropriate and I think it soured her opinion of teachers giving spankings. If there was a teacher she knew and trusted she probably would have been fine with it but she was vehemently opposed to the idea of a relative stranger doing it.
