I remember getting a spanking while I had the chickenpox but I don't think it was from scratching. I don't remember the circumstances super great but it was probably a very sick and irritable me mouthed off to my very stressed mom and my dad spanked me for something I said. I wasn't very old so I think that was before the belt was introduced. I think my dad turned me over my lap and lit my butt up with his hands. That's how my early spankings growing up went.

My mom definitely taped the oven mitts around my hands. Might have something to do with me getting an attitude with her but I don't remember the lead up very well.
