I did not get spanked all that often as a kid, but I think the rate increased during the summer months.

What I remember most about those summer spanks is coming home from a day outside for lunch, getting a spanking, and then immediately being sent back out. I would have to sit rather gingerly on my bike seat as my butt was still stinging!

I used to keep my bedroom window open in the summer, and I wonder if the neighbors ever heard my cries. If they did, nobody ever mentioned anything to me. I don’t think I could have handled that embarrassment.
