I'm sure that's true, Sonya!

I have a vague memory of my mother spanking my sister severely when she was 9 or 10. I didn't count slaps while watching. But running that memory over again in my mind afterwards, my best guess would be ~32 hard and fast slaps.

She ceased smacking my sister's rosy little bottom very abruptly that evening, and I suspect that she would have preferred to administer additional slaps but that her palm smarted too much for her to continue. If our aunt had been present with a fly swatter our mother might have handed my sister over to her for a second dose.
