I was at a park with a small private middle school in the springtime.
The young woman in charge of the school asked one of the boys, "Why don't you take your shirt off and get a suntan?"
That suggestion registered in my memory because it implied that semi-nudity should be not only allowed, but encouraged.
I wish boys got more of such encouragement from women and girls.
In one of the stories on the puericil site, a girl is an overnight guest at a friend's house.
After she returns home, she complains to her brother that her friend's brother comes to the breakfast table in his underwear. So why can't he do the same?
I wish a girl would occasionally ask a boy, "Take your shirt off. I like to see you with your shirt off."
I also wish that a girl seeing an already shirtless boy would tell him how nice he looks.
I also like to imagine a family going on a shopping trip, a visit to a relative, or some other outing.
When the family is ready to leave, the boy in the family reaches for a shirt.
His mom and his sister say, "No, just leave it off. We like to show you off."
I also like to imagine a girl throwing a birthday party.
With her mother's full approval, she makes a rule that any boy attending the party will wear a pair of shorts and nothing else.
I have similar fantasies about girls enjoying seeing boys' genitals.
For example, there is a summer camp, a family gathering, or other setting that involves outdoor swimming.
Some girls are inside playing a game on the floor.
George happens to pass through the room wearing a speedo.
One of the girls has a crush on George, so another of the girls stops him by saying, "George, Shirley says she'd like to see your penis."
George thinks for a second and says, "Yeah, why not."
To the girls' wide-eyed wonder, he pulls down his swimming trunks and pulls them back up.
The girls smile graciously and say, "Thank you."
The boy leaves the room, acting as if nothing happened.
