In the now-defunct forums, the term "bolding" was coined to denote a male approaching a female stark naked, initiating a conversation, and acting as if nothing unusual is happening.
The term "fluffing" was coined to denote a female being bolded and acting as if nothing unusual is happening.
Part I: What is your favorite fantasy?
The Bolding Club was organized by students who wish to refine the art of appearing nude in public and conversing with women and girls in perfect confidence.
The club met once a week after school. While the club elected its own officers, every student organization had to have a faculty sponsor.
Mrs. Smith, the school counselor, donated her time to that role.
There was a simple qualification for membership: one has to be a boy, and one had to show irrefutable proof of that fact when attending school every day.
Students wearing athletic shorts, students wearing speedos, and students wearing jock straps have knocked on the door, but the door remained shut. The rule meant exactly what it said.
There was also a Fluffing Club for girls who wished to act courteous and confident when they were being bolded. In order to aid in their illusion of confidence, they swore to keep their membership a secret.
Mrs. Smith was a valuable asset to the Bolding Club. She knew most of the students in the school. She could give the boys information about their secret crushes, thereby helping to make those crushes less secret.
Between classes one day, Wilbur went up to Mrs. Smith in the hallway and pointed out a lovely girl with light red hair. He asked Mrs. Smith what was the girl's name.
Mrs. Smith said, "That's Gloria. Would you like to learn more about her?"
Wilbur said, "I sure would!"
"Then come to my room after school today, and I'll fill you in."
After school that day, Mrs. Smith got out Gloria's folder and showed him her art work and her written work, all of which was quite impressive.
After school on Wednesday, a rehearsal took place. Mrs. Smith was Gloria and Wilbur was Wilbur. Wilbur made specific comments about Gloria's art work and written work, thereby implying that he genuinely recognized her as an individual. The other club members embellished the scene with comments and questions.
At the end of the rehearsal, Mrs. Smith said, "I wish you the very best. You're a very nice boy and Gloria is a very nice girl."
On Thursday, Gloria was was looking very charming in a short red skirt. Wilbur walked up to her in the hallway after school. He then took exactly the right stance, just as he had been instructed. His glorious icon was in clear view. "Hi."
"Hi."
Wilbur canted his head and said, "My name is Wilbur and--well, I kinda noticed you." The body language and the stammer were polished the day before. Mrs. Smith had told him to appear at least a little bit shy.
"I kinda noticed you too. I'm glad to get your name right. I thought I heard your friends call you Wilfred."
"If you're walking home, I can walk with you for a few blocks." Ever heard of the low baiting tactic? Actually, he wanted to walk all the way home.
Gloria smiled. "Okay, I live on Sycamore Street."
"Oh, I live in that direction." That was a lie. Actually, he lived about a half mile in the other direction.
On the homeward journey, Wilbur offered to carry Gloria's books, but Gloria was too liberated. Wilbur commented on the dossier which he had seen two days ago. The search through her school work provided a springboard for further conversation. Her art work reminded him of this, her written work reminded him of that.
Gloria asked, "But how did you know about my school work?"
Wilbur pointed to his head. "I'm smart."
When Wilbur arrived at Gloria's house, he was cordially received by her mother. She noticed not only his unadorned body but his curly dark red hair. "Don't tell me, I bet your name is Wilfred."
Gloria said, "Wilbur. I got his name wrong."
Gloria's mother said, "You two make yourselves at home in the living room. I have chores to do in the kitchen."
The two children sat on the living room carpet and played a few rounds of Uno. Gloria seemed oblivious to the fact that her undies were showing every minute. Wilbur graciously thanked Gloria's mother for bringing in some refreshments.
Wilbur said, "You're a tough one to beat. I figured you would be."
Gloria asked, "Would you like to play checkers? We also had a checkerboard?"
While Gloria and Wilbur were playing checkers, Wilbur reclined in prone position. Gloria took the same position as before. "Would you mind sitting up? I like to see your--you know?"
Wilbur complied. After a while, he realized that his mother might be wondering where he was. He gave his mother a phone call and gave a street address.
When Wilbur's mother arrived to pick him up, the two mothers exchanged pleasantries.
The two mothers bemoaned the fact that boys were getting too modest nowadays. Gloria's mother thought it was nice to meet one who wasn't. Gloria had two boy cousins who visited from out of town every summer and why, they wouldn't even take their shirts off!
Wilbur's mother said that she liked to keep Wilbur naked at homebecause he looked so relaxed and comfortable that way. He sometimes wanted to put on some clothes when visitors came, but she wouldn't let him.
Gloria's mother commented on Wilbur's beautiful even sun tan.
Gloria said, "Yeah, I told him that, too. It was a subtle way of saying that I noticed he was naked, but without being too forward and saying, 'Oooh, I see your John Thomas.'"
Wilbur's mother said, "My, you daughter is really insightful!"
Gloria said, "Not really. They taught us that line in the Fluffing Club. Woops!" Gloria slapped her hand over her mouth.
Wilbur began beating Gloria on the arm with both fists. "So you go to the Fluffing Club! Who else is in the Fluffing Club?"
Gloria said, "You can chain me, you can torture me, you can destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind."
While Wilbur continued hitting Gloria and Gloria continued giggling and fighting back, Wilbur's mother said, "That was a quote from Mahatma Gandhi, wasn't it?"
Gloria's mother said, "I believe so."
Wilbur's mother said, "You have a very smart girl--and very well-mannered."
Gloria's mother said, affectionately, "We've decided to keep her."
Wilbur's mother stood up. "I hate to rush off, but I'm afraid we had better be going."
The remaining company stood up. Wilbur said, "I have a lot of homework to do. So I will also have to say goodby." He stood on his tiptoes and gave Gloria's mother a kiss on the cheek. Then he gave Gloria a kiss on the cheek.
Gloria's mother laughed. "My! Such a gentleman!"
Wilbur said, "They teach us to give a goodby kiss in the Bolding Club. Woops!" Wilbur slapped his hand over his mouth.
Part II: Why?
In this story, the older generation supports boys in their desire to show themselves, to relate with girls, and to show affection toward girls.
