Hi - new to the forum. Been reading and a lot of this hits home. I have a specific instance from my childhood that I haven't seen mentioned. Has anyone been seen nude by someone as a one off then that person take that occurrence as license to see you nude whenever?
At ten, I got a new stepmom. In the beginning she let me have my privacy and was respectful. That summer we went on vacation and stayed at hotels along the way. Because of cramped quarters, she saw me naked a couple of times. For me, I felt it was just because of the circumstances and that once back home things would be the way they had been. But once we were home, it was like a barrier had been crossed or something. She thought it was fine to see me naked whenever she thought necessary. I know it had something to do with vacation. There was a change after that never spoken about. Has that happened to anyone else? How did you feel about it? For me I didn't like it at first but then got used to it and never gave it much thought.

Hi Glen -
I think this is somewhat common amongst quasi maternal figures like step-mothers, mothers-in-law, and caregivers. Once the barrier of nudity has been crossed they reckon since they have seen it before they can see it again. You didn't indicate anything of a sexual nature in your post so ruling that out, it seems maternal which if you had been growing up without a mother (you didn't say) the experience probably grew quite comforting.

Of course she thought it was fine to see you naked whenever she thought necessary, as you were only 10 and she was your 'step-mother' and had already seen you naked.
So if she thought it was necessary to see you naked then it must have been necessary, if only to make sure that you were developing as you should be developing.
If she didn't see you naked from time to time, as she thought necessary, then how would she know if your testis had dropped or not and you might need medical intervention?

I remember the time when I was younger than 11 or 12, and being in the countryside at my grandparents house in a remote vilage, I was often let to hang around naked or bottomles in the backyard during the most warmed days of the summer.
Sometimes some unexpected guest arrived to visit my folks, and usually I runned away to hide myself or to go inside the house to search for some underpants at least, but if my Granny had sow me and figured me for being ashamed, she used to encourage me saying like
"come on, don't be shy, is just Miss X... Do you know than when you was just a toddler, she bathed you a few times among her nephews? You see, She already know your birthsuit! Come here to salute Miss X "
And usually I accepted to get out from my hiding place and to come to salute and socialize, even If I was still a bit embarrassed to be sow naked...

Dodo - exactly, your nudity was already known to her according to your grandmother. Therefore, she was allowed to see you undressed whenever the occasion happened. There is a nudity barrier, once it's crossed, most women believe that modesty no longer is needed for the male in question.

And the whole scene repeated somehow anytime when on the beach, I had to undress my underpants (as usually) but I esitated a few minutes because some other relative was present, especially one or two girlcousins who never sow me naked from a while... Like for example, being around 10 yeras old in the first beach day of the summer, among some relatives including two girlcousins around my age (+/- one year).
First at all I undressed everything till my white underpants, and I used to freeze with my fingers under the elastic, halfway between my waist and the point of my complete unveiling, completely ashamed of the possibility of appearing naked for another year like a small child in front of my girls cousins who, although they were close in age, were already wearing full swimsuits and looking like young ladies...
Second, was my mom who witnessed the whole scene and used to say something like " come on my dear, don't be shy, your cousin just sow your tinny willy last summer and till now It's exactly as tiny as it was last summer!"

can you explain more about the "salute and socialize" thing? do you mean to salute like in the army or do you mean to shake their hand?

I mean just being polite and respecting the guest.
Saying "Heloo" or "Good afternoon" and responding at "How are you?" or less formal like " How old are you? / What grade are you from the autumn? " ... Things like this...
and if the guest was well know by me, being expected from me to politely ask about news from the guest's husband/wife, daughter/grandchild...
things like this...

I had the same kind of experience as a foster kid , especially on summer on or near beaches. I was probably seen as more "feral" local kid when under 10 or 12 on remote beaches. We would go to unimproved beaches with my foster mom and her friend with kids as well. I was already older than the younger boys in group, but treated the same. From the beach the boys would strip off everything and walk to hundred or so yards north to area without people or just other kids to play frisbee or swim, more free range out of sight of adults. On way back we always went nude home as norm.
After doing this a few times barriers were lowered. The other moms saw me play nude, and we would even travel to beach nude or in briefs for the day. On way how we would even run for cokes nude to a 711 and not get in trouble at all if within broader beach buffer zone but adults would not.
By 11 or 12 I was comfortable enough to not care a bit anymore.
