My husband primarily uses a small wood paddle and his hand. His style of spanking is some fast hard swats with his hand, then plenty more slower swats with the paddle. I know he doesn't ever count the swats and just goes by bottom color and reactions from whoever he is spanking. The wood paddle is small, round, and a bit heavy and dense... it stings like the absolute dickens! I would say it is similar to a hairbrush in size.

As for his hand... well, I think that hurts plenty, too! I know that just him using his hand is probably more effective than me using the paddle, lol.

On two occasions when we've been out and about, Ruben has had to use a different implement. I do think that the wooden spoon he bought from a Target one time is still in our trunk...
