Getting spanked by my wife was entirely my idea and I approached her with it after we had become engaged. We had talked about my upbringing and my mom's approach to discipline. Kim had been spanked too and believed that it has it's place in child rearing. This was her second marriage and she did give her two kids an occasional swat

My initial fear had been that she would laugh at me or be totally put off by my submissiveness. Instead, I saw her quietly consider what I was saying. She later told me that my interest in spanking had been apparent from previous conversations. However, she had expected me to be looking for something more akin to foreplay than actual discipline. I can't dismiss the erotic allure of spanking, but tried to make it clear that I wanted a wife to hold me accountable.

Given how Kim's first marriage had ended, this struck a chord with her and we agreed to talk further after she had time to think. In subsequent conversations we talked about separating sex from the spankings and making certain that she wasn't rewarding bad behavior. I bought a wooden hairbrush for her and had her try some practice swings. I assured her that applying it to my bare bottom would sting like crazy and leave me sore the next day. That was okay though, and exactly what I craved from a loving wife.

I reminded her of a disagreement that we hadn't resolved yet and conceded that she truly was right about it. It was my first spanking since adolescence. Not as hard as I wanted, but an impressive first effort that set the tone for our marriage.
