There have been a few longer ones but not very often. I don't think long drawn out spankings are really necessary. I spank enough to redden their bottoms a little and to make an impression on them. After the spanking is over, I give them time to themselves and then go talk with them and we make up. There are a few times where I spanked them longer than normal. Like once a couple of years ago. It was my daughter's first experience with the hairbrush. She was actually grounded for getting a detention at school. Then she told me she needed to go to one of her friend's house to work on a School Project. I gave her her phone back and told her to go do what she needed to do and then come back. A couple of hours later my oldest boy came in from hanging with his friends. He asked me if I had let her off her grounding and I told him that she was at a friend's house working on a class assignment. He told me he saw her in the neighborhood park hanging out with several of her friends. I tried to call her a couple of times but she ghosted me. I had him stay home to keep and eye on his brother and I went to the Park. Sure enough I saw my daughter hanging out with her friends. I snatched her off of the picnic table and gave her a coupled of "attention getters" on the seat of her jeans and I read her the riot act then told her to get her little butt home right now. She tried to refuse but I told her to get home now or I'd pull her pants down and blister her bare little butt right there in front of God and everybody. Then took her by the arm again. She pulled back and I gave her another swat on the seat of her jeans. She started crying and said, "I was just getting my phone." I grabbed the phone from her and said, "You can have this back in a couple of days". Then I smacked her butt again and told her to get home now. Once we got back to the house, I went to my bathroom and came back with my hairbrush. I sat down in one of the chairs next to her at the Kitchen Table and started chewing her out again about lying to me. Then I told her to stand up and pull her pants and panties down. She begged me to not spank her but I was adamant and told her again. So she dropped her pants and panties and lay across my lap. I gave her twelve to fifteen hard smacks on the bare butt while she cried and kicked. Then she started to get up, I made her lay back down and said, "Oh no little lady we aren't done yet." Then said, "That spanking was for sneaking off like you did, knowing I let you off your grounding because you had a homework assignment. Then I picked up the hairbrush, put her back across my lap and said, "This is for lying to me." Then I gave her a dozen good smacks on the bare butt with the hairbrush. After I let her up. I told her she was back on her grounding too. Later on when I went in to talk to her, I told her she could have her phone back the next day but she's still going to be grounded for a couple of days and if she ever ghosted me again, I'd take the phone away for good. Like I said, the usual hand spanking is a dozen or so smacks. I don't spank my kids very often, because I don't really have to. They are normally very good kids. Usually I can just talk to them and I give them a lot of second chances. More second chances than I got from my Momma. As far as their ages go. My oldest son is fourteen and will be fifteen in July, My Youngest Daughter is twelve and will be thirteen in September and my youngest is ten and will be eleven in December. The oldest boy hasn't gotten as many spankings as his brother and little sister. Between the two youngest my daughter gets the most spanking, because like me at her age, she is very hard headed. My Grand Baby, I gave her a couple of smacks on the seat of the pants for breaking away from me when I picked her up after School. She ran out into the street and almost got hit by a car. I took her to the sidewalk and popped her little butt a couple of times. It hurt her feelings a lot more than it did her butt. Then I gave her a spanking at home one day for acting up on the playground and not minding me. When I took her home, I sat her on the couch and then got down on the floor in front of her to be on her level and scolded her, then I turned her over my knee pulled her pants and panties down and gave her a half dozen or so half hearted smacks on her bare little butt. Again, it hurt her feelings more than it did her bottom. She curled up in my lap crying and then asked me if I still loved her. I told her I did and then she cuddled up with me. I did give my oldest one sharp slap on the bare butt not too long ago. We had all come down with the flu and Momma literally stopped at the house twice a day every day to take care of us. Well all of us were getting better except the oldest, she was getting worse. We took her to the ER and found out she had developed a bad case of bronchitis. The doctor wanted to keep her for a couple of days to give her IV antibiotics but she begged us to take her home. So he gave her some pills. Unfortunately she was so sick, she couldn't keep them down, so he offered to provide us with suppositories. She wasn't thrilled about that either but decided it was better than a hospital stay. She kept putting off taking them and I told her she isn't going to get better unless she took her medicine. She reluctantly asked me if I would help her. So I told her I would. She took her panties down and rolled over on her stomach. I understood her discomfort having had to have them myself on a couple of occasions when I was growing up, including when I had gotten really sick in my senior year. She kept clenching up every time I would try to insert one, and I finally gave her a hard smack on the bottom and told her to hold still. She whimpered "yes Mommy" and held still as I inserted it. Then held it in for a few moments and told her to relax and not push it out. Me smacking her on the bare butt hurt her feelings, and she sniffled I'm sorry to be such a pain Momma." I just hugged her and kissed her on the head and apologized for smacking her butt so hard. She half chuckled and said, "I'm glad I never got any real spankings from you Momma." After a few days she was feeling better and about a week and a half later she was pretty much back to normal other than being a little hoarse from all the coughing. There you go, hon.
