Emotion

Crying too much is dangerous,
But crying too little is, too.
Hidden feelings will eat away,
Feeding on regret and rue.

You know when I smile and I laugh,
Those smiles of sadness and fear.
If my mask broke, and my grief revealed,
Would you know where fell my tears?

Let me tell you that joy is empty,
Fright and misery are, as well.
Raw hatred burns, and anger sting,
And they blaze through our fragile shells.

Emotions are as blank as dark,
Simple words on the tongue is all.
Friendship is a mere promise;
Would you catch me if I fall?

I smile when the pain is searing,
I laugh when I'm bitter and used.
I can teach you about tears of joy,
And the feelings I have confused.

Because no one is always happy,
And not always sad when they cry.
Time will pass, and life will move on;
These tears will eventually dry.

Wow, that's pretty. It's said, but not morbid or anything. Emotions are hard to put into words, yet you managed to do just that. Good job! (NT)Rosella Guillemoss17:45:23 02/18/03 Tue
