This trendy girl at my school came up to me and said "Are you a goth" and I raised my oh so common bemused eyebrow and said "Nah! I just like to impersonate them at parties". Usually people back off but being the right little **coughs** madam she is she moved around to my sid eof the desk. "Why do you like it?". I basically told her and she left but I've been thinking and so I did this poemy thing.

What it means to be a goth/greebo

What does it mean to be a goth/greebo?
It means loving black,
Feeling so in tune with your music
that when it plays you feel empowered.
It means living life your own way,
Not following a certain fashion.

It means not caring what people think,
showing your trueself all the time.
Having to put up with black and purple
striped tights ^_^ and eyeliner.

It means dishing out sarcasm at every
available moment.
I means loving what you do and what you are.
Not being afraid to speak your mind,
no matter who it opposes or challenges.

It doesn't mean you hate christianity
or any other religion.
It isn't about worshipping evil.
It's about being free from everything.
It's about being dark.
Loosing yourself in the music.

That's what it means.
