Silence echoes throughout the emptiness,
And the air is crisp and cold, stinging flesh.
The sound of pure stillness ringing in the mind,
Surrounded to the paranoid darkness of the void.

There is no life, no death, and no noise.
The air is foul, and every movement painful.
Floating boundless in the misty black hue,
Taken prisoner to the depts of the void.

It is unreal, yet lives in the darkness of mind,
Where hidden pain and despair dwells and thrives.
And when anguish grows, the shadows spring,
And the void seizes its innocent prey.

For that is all the void is; a mere shadow of doubt,
And it grows with anger and fear and threat.
And when it catches ahold of a worthy victim,
Inescapable and inevitable becomes the void.

A/N: Got an idea for this while watching FotR and that part in Bree when Frodo puts on the ring. Stupid, stupid Frodo...^__^ J/k, of course.
