I never get around to finishing any of my stories... : )

But I love writing them, and this story you may like or may not, but remember my story of the otter in Nighway abbey.
Well, several miles away there was a forest community called Oakwood. and many creatures lived there, including a young mousemaid named Narie (Na-ry)

Narie woke up from her sleep, she pulled back the cloth covers, and looked around her room.
It was dark, she sun hadn't come up yet and her two brothers were still asleep.
Slari, and Nammy were her two brothers who both were younger then her and they kinda got on her nerves alot...
But anyway she decided to take a walk, through the trees at night.
She was walking and it was kinda chilly, since it was late autumn.
She then saw a shadow jump down from a tree, she screamed and a voice called out.
'Don't yell wot! you'll wake up the blinkin forest, and you don't want that!'
The figure was a hare whose fur was all ruffled and looked kind of silly, like a fluffy bird.

'Oh, it's you Kiptem I thought you were a vermin.'
The hare smoothed down his fur, 'Vermin hah! I have seen vermin around for many seasons now, don't have to worry me gal, they wouldn't come around a village like this with all these warriors protecting it... by the way your brothers did they?'
'Oh, they haven't graduated yet, I heard some vermin were around south of here, and old Sapelm was training warriors
to help and they joined within minutes, but we already have five great ones, I don't know why we need more... unless sapelm isn't telling us something.'

The two friends walked down the path back to the village...
'What were you doing anyway up in the trees?' Narie asked

'I was looking to see if he came yet?'
'Who?'
'My cousin Parror, he was supposed to be coming soon and I wanted to talk to him about something, because he was coming from the south, and if he has seen vermin he would know how many there were in the group... estimating by dozens or hundreds, even if there were they couldn't kill him because a hare is a tough and perilous creature... they don't die easily.

Narie saw the sun rising... and she thought she saw a shadow...

'I saw something!'

The two weren't sure if it was vermin but they walked over to where the shadow was, and noticed it was a woodlander.

Kiptem yelped and saw it was his cousin...

He was wounded.

'what happened!?'

'Vermin, south... they are coming, there were about 50 or 60, they wounded me, but I got away... we have to fight.'
The mousemaid and her hare friend carried The hare back to the village, and they knew they needed lots of help, fast.
