It was hard maintaining a little bit of distance from him when he looked like he so desperately just wanted to be near her. Her lip tucked between her teeth at his touch on her face and then at his words before she sighed softly and stepped back into his arms, ducking her head underneath his chin as she wrapped her arms around him once more, holding onto him tightly as she closed her eyes. She had missed him desperately, a part of her wondering if he was going to come back to her or if he was just done with her now. He would be clean and maybe he would want a fresh start from his past....which included her. He sighed quietly again and his arms slipped tightly around her once more, his chin resting on top of his head and his eyes rolling up to the ceiling - many days, it had been thoughts of her and wanting to do right by her that had been part of his motivation not to give in, and he had a feeling that those days would never be completely gone. A hand curled around the base of her neck beneath her hair as he held her tightly - just perfectly content for the long moment to enjoy and appreciate the feeling of her back in his arms. Things didn't seemed all okay, but she wasn't yelling and screaming and throwing things, and she wasn't really even resisting him - so he figured that was a good thing..
