hi jadedragon and to anyone else who wants to join in on this discussion.

jade, you mentioned the following: using a dark bowl, blue or black with water in it, in a dimly lit room, for scrying (precog work). i have heard of this before.

my questions to you. i have never done this but i would tend to approach this from a wiccan point of view. cast circle, invoke guardians for protection, etc. i would not want to do this unprotected because it seems to me that anything could get in. what is your take on this? is the circle needed or is that just personal preference? do you think shields are enough, or do shields have to come down to do this? in your personal experience, how much energy expenditure goes into this, i mean are you all bashed out afterwards and just want to sleep? if i am going to try, just want to plan my evening right (LOL!), or is eating some carbo's enough? i would also imagine you would want to write down your impressions right away, keep a journal of some sort.

anybody else here ever tried this? i would appreciate any experiences anyone has had. or if you have another method of choice please relate.
