Everything you say is true. The initial point that I was trying to make is that we shouldn't wait for 5 years to find out if they have done anything constructive and sustainable in their respective electorates. They have to know and understand that they are accountable today to their people and not 1 year before the next elections. It always amazes me how the government hasn't got any money to support it's infrastructure/services, yet one year before and the time leading up to the elections, money is readily available for political parties, their candidates, their rallies; the one in office all of a sudden has the money to build bridges, roads, aid posts, etc. What gives? Where was all the money,services and upkeep in the preceding 4 years?
