Hey, I know I can't tell you how to solve your problems, but I have a stepfather like your husband, and as much as it may have hurt to be alone, I would have killed him before I would have ever let him hurt my sister or mother, and I still would. I live with my grandmother now, and we're safe and happy. My point is, as much good as he has done, it seems that the bad he's done is much worse, and you deserve better. I know it probably seems like it's impossible to let go of things after such a traumatizing event, but if you can, things can only get better. If it's any consolation, there ARE people out there that care very much.
