Subject: Is Daya Mata a Usurper?

In response to some criticism of Daya Mata.SRF writes:

SRI DAYA MATA AND THE LEADERSHIP OF SRF

"…Throughout the more than 40 years in which Day Mataji has served as sanghamata of Paramahansaji’s worldwide society, countless souls have found in the great disciple the fulfillment of the Guru’s counsel to her, "Inspire all with you spiritual motherliness.." and have experienced in their own lives the transforming effects of her divine love, wisdom, and compassionate understanding.

Note that whomever wrote this acknowledges the Daya Mata is a great disciple. In the heading they make sure they honor her with the title of Sir. They are very enthusiastic about her. This is great, if Daya Mata has been that for them, then that’s the way they should be.

On the other hand:
SRF had in their living presents a disciple on the same magnitude according to Yogananda as Rajasi and Gyanamata. Ask the younger Monastic if they ever knew Sri Durga Mata. Most of them will tell you they have read her book. The question you have to ask yourself is why if this is one of Yogananda's major disciple never heard about.

Why would anyone make a person like this off-limits to the other monastics? If you would have wanted to get in tough with Durga Mata when she was alive, SRF would not give you any information on how to do that. Don’t you think that’s strange?

When SRF wrote about Durga Mata memorial service, they never had the courtesy to refer to her with a title of reverence of Sri Durga Mata, that was only reserved for Sri Daya Mata. SRF today has not endorsed or acknowledged Durga Mata's book.

What’s wrong with these two pictures? Why the big discrepancy in treatment?

The Dynasty which claims to be so attune with their Master, why were they not able to see what he did? And if they saw it why did they fail to act on it? Or did they?

On the surface, the above statement, sounds real good, but let's look deeper. This statement was made in 1958 before Daya Mata left on her trip to India. First of all, this statement is what I call free information. Free information is that which is not called for or necessary for the content of what one is talking about. It is what usually interest the speaking person and creates the chance of letting people know what one want them to. It could have been clearly left out of the talk without any lose of content. Very clearly this statement is backhandedly letting us know how important and spiritual Daya Mata is. Things might fall apart without her. It seem only Divine Mother can replace Daya Mata. And we are told of her expertise in spiritual counseling and matters. Daya seems to forget that she has one of Master top students left behind, and in the ashram, it's Durga Ma. The one most qualified according to Yogananda at this point is Durga Ma. Interestingly there is no mention of this. What good leader would fail to take advantage of their most valuable resources. Remember also that Durga Mata was fully capable of running the show, she had done so long before Daya Mata. Durga was counseling the public at this time because she had been cut off from the monastics
