When Romana zooms straight up and lands in the tree, Velvet keeps going. He's seen her halt her flying, but he can't seem to stop his upward momentum just yet. Leaves brush and slap at his small blue self as he exits the top layer of the canopy with a burst of trills and wingbeats. He's about to backwing and return to where she is screaming, but then she's aloft again, about a dragon length from his own ascension and gaining.

With a pleased trill, he swerves so that he can remain behind and a bit to the right of her, tipping one wing in toward her for a moment as a sort of cordial acknowledgement that yes indeed he in for the long haul. Even though he's only about as big as two fists held together, he has the heart and stomach of an adult bronze dragon, not to mention the mind of a lofty little pirate. He careens back and forth, allowing his course to dip him in slightly closer to the green as he follows her, revelling in the speeds he's achieving at this point. He'd have to try this flying thing more often! Impulsively, he edges forward so that he's directly beside her, and then drops out of sight beneath her, reappearing on her left flank, keeping a distance. He could be fast AND maneuverable at the same time! Doing a roll while maintaining his speed is easy, and he tosses his head back and a pretty, if not overtly powerful, bugle issues forth.
