I just purchased this vehicle in NJ and it is in dire need of
restoration. My friend, John Peterson, refered me to Lance at
www.aceautobdy.com and says they have restored several of these
cars and are very competant! Anyone concur, any other ideas! I
also, would like to have a GE radio remote head and end/trunk
mounted unit (circa 1972, as I have a Midland digital 2-way that
I used in my own police cruiser as a constable from 1986 to
1990, but it wouldn't look right for this vehicle). I will
restore it to original factory black enamal and set it up as a
basic "plain brown wrapper", hopefully with John Peterson's
radar unit from the era, also one like I used to use way back
then! Anyone know where I might obtain a CT State Police Whelan
Strobe Light bar from that era, with Blue center beacon and 2
blue rear beacons, that operated from a 5 or 6 position rotary
swith from inside the cruiser and plugged and unplugged from a
driver side plug mounted on the center piller near the rain
gutter? If Anyone has any info that might be helpful to me in
this restoration of this 1972 Ford Custom 429 Interceptor,
please contact me at my email address. Thank you, Bill Parks
