Some of the best stops/motor vehicle arrests that I ever made for reckless
driving, passing on the right (shoulder), speeding, racing, and evading
responsibility were in my very own gray metallic 1986 Ford DSO police package
with subdued radio antenna, and no other visible lights or ancillary
equipment such as spotlights, etc. A "plain brown (or gray) wrapper" which
kind of reminded me of my old Chief's car. They DID stop for my Federal
teardrop red rotator, wig wags, and red grill lights! I'm with you, Dave!
People are going to let their "guard" down when they think that no one is
watching. Unmarked units are a very valuable and effective tool when
properly and responsibly used by law enforcement agencies. Regards,
