Ok - without ruffling too many feathers, here is why I think that the post should have been allowed on this board. It is funny - period. If you haven't noticed recently, posts that contain humor are the most viewed and responded to on this board in the most recent months. For comparison - in April here are the most viewed posts;

Seperated at Birth (funny pics - humore related) NJNP 1607 views

Xavier vs UC drinking (booze - humor related) Pablo 1450

Mock Draft - 1150

David West Staying 1120

Donald litle Problem - Pablo - 1113

Other info on West 1106

Inside Information - Pablo 914

Plainly the David West Staying is the biggest story out of all of these, but the top two posts are humor related subjects as it relates to Xavier University.

Chief Couch is Xavier University - thus humor relating to him is relevant. Sure I object to seeing Rosie O' Donnel in bondage gear - and yeah I ralphed on my shoes. But I laughed. There are enough bad things in this world and to take some time to go to this board is a release from daily stress - some love the analytical aspect - others ask to do their girlfriends homework. But we all come here for one reason or another - and they all relate to Xavier University!!!

There is an aspect of this board that is different than than our old boards - you actually have to click on the post to read it. So if you don't want to read something, you don't have to. Nobody is making anybody view it - that is the objection to the deletion policy of the management. I understand that some posts are going to get deleted, especially if they are over the top. But what I don't like is somebody deleting something just because they didn't find the subject funny.

Everybody has different tastes - but just because your humor might be a little more high-brow, doesn't mean that you should ruin the fun for everyone. To me a better example is if I posted about how much I love the Cintas Centers Cheddarwurst. And I got delted b/c the MM guys hate Cheddarwurst - they love the Montgomery Inn Barbq. Both opinions mean something to different people. But simply bc there is a different opinion doesn't mean that my opinion is wrong, just different. Thus my post should remain.

[> The post in question is pure parody. Parody should be allowed, that post didn't hurt anyone. Everyone has a sense of humor, but not everyone agrees with what is funny. Your point on how easy it is to skip over posts is a good one. It really isn't taking up too much space or doing anyone any harm. They should get an ignore button, so that if people don't care to read certain posts or posters they can delete it themselves for their own screen.
