Subject: Possible New NCAA Legislation

There is some panel that the NCAA formed that is thinking about linking graduation rates of programs to their eligibility. One of the things being discussed is to not allow teams whose graduation rates are under 50% to be eligible for conference championships as well as being ineligible for post season tournaments. If this legislation comes to fruition it could spell the end for UC basketball!

[> TeX: The panel was the Knight Comission (no relation to Bobby, but possibly related to Nike's founder). You could be right about UC. However, I wonder what are graduation rates are considering the departures of Price, Nixon, Walker, etc., What exactly are our grad rates? -- NO JUSTICE! NO PEACE!, 17:52:59 06/26/01 Tue

[> Good Point but the fact remains that we are much more intelligent than our crosstown counterparts and will figure out a way to make sure our grad rate is upper 90% on the books. While in reality it may be a lot less than that! -- TexX, 19:56:24 06/26/01 Tue
