  I would like to nominate you for the jihad (and possible cartel membership). You have done some great work in a short amount of time and show much promise. You are a great addition to the board(s). But, the cartel needs to channel that energy into doing more bad things to good people. You need to take your rightful place at the front of the line where all the cool kids (us) have already cut.   MIKE TYSON has told Lennox Lewis: "You should have finished me off in New York, because I will kill you in Memphis."
  
  Tyson hissed out his warning as he took a break from his training camp on the Hawaiian island of Maui. The American has spent the past two months preparing ferociously to face world heavyweight champion Lewis.
  
  And he is totally convinced he will rip the WBC and IBF crowns from Lewis' head when their blockbuster bout takes place at The Pyramid in Memphis on June 8.
  
  Former champion Tyson, remembering how Lewis was knocked senseless in his first clash with Hasim Rahman in April last year, declared: "My aim is to be professional, but to kill him." (ALL PRAISE BE TO ALLAH)
  
  "He'll sure wanna kill me, 'cos I wanna kill him. Yet I still love him." (WHAT THE F?) "I have to love Lennox. He is my brother. But he has a fight on his hands, a real fight." (AGAIN, WHAT THE F?)
  
  "Lewis might be more athletic, a more consummate fighter. But other than that it is going to be a pretty good clash I think, one of the real big ones."
  
  The showdown, which will generate more than £70million, was originally scheduled for April 6. But Lewis' January brawl with Tyson amid shameful scenes at a New York press conference to publicise the battle forced it to be abandoned.
  
  Tyson totally flipped when one of Lewis' bodyguards pushed him in the chest as he strode across a stage to eyeball his rival. He exploded in rage at having a hand laid on him by a member of his rival's camp and bit a 50p-sized lump of flesh from Lewis' left thigh.
  
  The barbarous actions, which revived memories of the infamous night in June 1997 when Tyson chewed off a part of Evander Holyfield's right ear, forced Lewis to call a doctor to administer an immediate tetanus injection.
  
  Iron Mike has not forgotten what happend and is still fuming. He added: "Lewis should have died that night, with his guys putting their hands on me like that. But I wasn't with the right crew. I was with guys who just wanted to be seen on television." (GOTTA HAVE THE RIGHT CREW FOR KILLIN)

  Snipe, I think Will Caudel is the man to beat out in the post because he is ahead of everyone at this time. based on those in the know he could have started this year for the Musketeers. He has put on muscle and is eager to go. He has the same type of energy as Posey.
  
  Randy Holbrook: Holbrook is given the most pub but I saw him when he first came to X and was not impressed. He has since had a couple of years to improve and I guess he has but with a bad back always looming I think right now he is the backup. I hope I am wrong and he does not turn out to be a O. Harris.
  
  Anthony Myles: I was not impressed at first with Myles but after the research and contact with people at his juco. school I think this is a dark horse because he is a rebounder. He reminds me of Turner but he has better scoring skills than Turner and just as big a demon on the boards. In any event, he will push Caudel and Holbrook. If he truly has grown to 6’9” he could be our Reggie Butler (with more skill and mobility). He is working on conditioning and the guy he works out with says he will surprise. They say when he is not the focus he can put up numbers which will catch some teams, that double West, by surprise.
  
  Angelo Smith, I see him as a red shirt at this time. Not that he does not have ability but because a year could do him wonders. Maybe another Caudel.
  
  Brandon Cole, he could be the next Sato or I like to think that with Armstrong(strength coach) working with him maybe another West in the Wing. Can score and drive with the ball.
  
  [B]DEDRICK FINN[/B] everyone thinks he is the real deal. Based on everything this is the point guard that could be the signature point guard for the Xavier program. He can and likes to distribute the ball and can score when needed. Granted he has never stepped on a D-1 floor in a game but he is not the best point guard in the state of Indiana for nothing. I met this kid with Larkin this year and B. Lark was impressed.

• Thoughts on Willaims -- Sniper, 00:25:53 04/29/02 Mon
  The news came as a huge blow to me because I was a big fan of Williams. Jaison Williams came into games that we were behind and brought the team back. I can remember it happening in the Purdue, Richmond and UD games off hand. Byron Larkin often stated that the team had a different feel and seem to run smoother when he was in the lineup. I love LC, but it was hard to argue with the production.
  
  As a Freshman, he averaged 45 percent from the field and 40 percent behind the three-point line. Those are outstanding numbers. He ran the point with a calm, cool demeanor unknown to most frosh. His ability to produce in the clutch was perhaps his best asset. The Freshman-Soph transition is touted as one of the biggest leaps that a player makes in terms of development. I was really getting pumped up to see what the kid could do next year.
  
  I have often argued among friends that basketball needs a plus/minus stat much like Hockey. For every player in the NHL, they can tell you how well the team did while he was on the ice. When Jaison Williams was on the court, our team played very well. I would expect his differential to be quite positive.
  
  I have never seen Dedrick Finn play, but he is our 'Stud' of the incoming class as they say. He is Thad Matta's first big recruit. The whole Williams deal may have been in the works when Finn's pen hit the paper on signing day. It could partially explain Matta's reluctance to play Williams more last season when he was performing so well. Why spend vital time developing a kid that won't be a factor in the big picture in future years.
  
  Teams don't play 3 point guards, and we had three point guards in 3 consecutive classes. That is generally not good. Something had to budge. I was hoping that Finn would redshirt and get a year of academics and practicing the system under his belt. Apparently, he is ready to play big time ball. The announcement that Finn was leaving gave me the impression that both parties were doing what was best for them, esp. w/ Jaison in mind. Matta didn't seem to be trying to change his mind one bit; in fact Thad seemed quite eager to help him find a place to go. I have no inside scoop, but I suspect that they had talked about this possibility before, and that Matta knew that this was coming. Matta wants his guy in there, and you can't fault him for that.
  
  Coaching changes in college basketball can be a messy business. Prosser left town, but his recruits were still bound to us. Williams has to sit out a year now, and he shouldn't have to do that, it is unfair. I hope that he turns it into a positive. We haven't had many transfers that have gone on to bigger and brighter things. I think that Nate Turner had a mental breakdown and was a missing person for awhile. Williams needs to take the many positives from his freshman year and build on them. I am rooting for him, I just hope he doesn't go to another A-10 team. If I were Oliver Purnell, I would be on the phone today. Plus, he could probably get paid up there.
  
  I give both Matta and Williams credit for handling the matter with dignity and class. One has to wonder if we have another player who might not fit the new coaches system. In Anthony Coleman, we have a 6-10 guard/forward. He was probably recruited to front the press in another system. With the influx of big men, his playing time might be hard to come by. But who knows, Matta said he likes transition, and that he thinks this team is at its best when they are in transition. Pablo has been on track thus far in his prognostications, and this may well be a very good pressing team. We have the tools to do it. With all of the run and jump, highflying studs we have, I could envision a very effective press.
  
  Anyway, Jaison's loss is Dedrick Finn's gain. I think that Finn has Matta's confidence, and I can't wait to see him play. I appreciate everything that Jaison did to make this past year a special season. Without his contributions things might have been different. So thank you Jaison, and good luck to you in all of your future endeavors.

        • Looking at Xavier's website, they have a complete log in some games that document the time of scoring, assists, TOs, etc. However, they don't take into account the time of substitutions, so your best bet is to ask Stats-R-Us about such game logs. Heck, for all we know, he might be in the process of caluculating such things. Unlike hockey, basketball doesn't have power plays that would further complicate such a stat.   I asked a question below to Muskieman about Dedrick Finn participating in the summer league. Does anyone know when the summer league starts? We have several knew players that I would like to take an early look at. Does anyone have any clue on which players are planning to be in attendance over the summer? The biggest battle coming up is going to be with the big men, obviously. Muskieman has thoroughly studied all of the incoming guys, maybe he can handicap the favorites to play next year. It is a wide open field and the winners get to play next to an All American.

  • Maybe Oak Hills (or whoever is hosting the league this year) will have the answer as to when the league will start this year. I'll be moving back to Cincinnati in a couple of weeks, and I'm looking forward to seeing the guys in summer ball. My guess is it will start up around early or mid-June.   I read the liner notes about Robert Romanus who played suave "Mike Damone." It stated that he was from CT and went to Xavier University in Cincinnat (better than Xavier of Ohio) in the mid 70's for two years and was a psychology major. He then dropped out and pursued acting.   Plainly the David West Staying is the biggest story out of all of these, but the top two posts are humor related subjects as it relates to Xavier University.
  
  Chief Couch is Xavier University - thus humor relating to him is relevant. Sure I object to seeing Rosie O' Donnel in bondage gear - and yeah I ralphed on my shoes. But I laughed. There are enough bad things in this world and to take some time to go to this board is a release from daily stress - some love the analytical aspect - others ask to do their girlfriends homework. But we all come here for one reason or another - and they all relate to Xavier University!!!
  
  There is an aspect of this board that is different than than our old boards - you actually have to click on the post to read it. So if you don't want to read something, you don't have to. Nobody is making anybody view it - that is the objection to the deletion policy of the management. I understand that some posts are going to get deleted, especially if they are over the top. But what I don't like is somebody deleting something just because they didn't find the subject funny.
  
  Everybody has different tastes - but just because your humor might be a little more high-brow, doesn't mean that you should ruin the fun for everyone. To me a better example is if I posted about how much I love the Cintas Centers Cheddarwurst. And I got delted b/c the MM guys hate Cheddarwurst - they love the Montgomery Inn Barbq. Both opinions mean something to different people. But simply bc there is a different opinion doesn't mean that my opinion is wrong, just different. Thus my post should remain.

  • The post in question is pure parody. Parody should be allowed, that post didn't hurt anyone. Everyone has a sense of humor, but not everyone agrees with what is funny. Your point on how easy it is to skip over posts is a good one. It really isn't taking up too much space or doing anyone any harm. They should get an ignore button, so that if people don't care to read certain posts or posters they can delete it themselves for their own screen.   I have been watching for the last month. Unable to speak throughout the Bob Huggins fiasco, unable to chime in during the Donald Little wilding incident, and unable to share my worries and feelings during the uncertain days of David West remaining at X with my fellow Muskies. Why is this you ask?
  
  I no longer feel safe posting on the “other” board. On the day that Gary decided to abuse his power and share confidential information because he didn’t agree with a post, I knew my days on that board were over forever.
  
  While I enjoyed the witty banter and great facts and information that were at times permitted to stay up I can no longer risk the privacy of my family or my co workers because some loose cannon who has shown his true colors by posting confidential information and threatening the use of the “State of Illinois Internet Crime Unit”.
  
  I have recently purchased a domain name and am working with members of the Cartel to develop a web page that will give the true fans a SAFE place to post their feelings. This page will link directly to this message board or have another one that will be moderated by Pablo, a man of integrity that will not compromise the safety or privacy of a poster because of differing beliefs.

  Walking into campus police chief Mike Couch’s office, you’d expect to be intimidated by police gear: handcuffs, guns, billy clubs.
  
  Instead you’re greeted by lots of leather, whips, chains, and really, really uncomfortable chairs.
  
  
  
  “I’m an avid S&M collector,” says Couch, who first started his sadomasochism collection 10 years ago. “I’m always going to flea markets. Anytime I see S&M paraphernalia, whether it’s nipple clamps, books, or Gimp masks I’ve been picking it up.”
  
  Couch then procceed to expound on his favorite movie "Pulp Fiction." "Man, I really love that movie. I especially like 'The Gimp' and thought the scene was realistic and tastefully done. I even tried out for the part but Quentin and I could not agree on terms." Couch then glefully recited one of the movie's famous scenes verbatim:
  
  Zed: "Bring out the gimp.
  
  Maynard: Gimp's asleep.
  
  Zed: Well I guess you gonna have to wake him up now won't you?"
  
  His staff’s also contributed to his S&M collection with birthday and Christmas gifts, including a teddy bear wearing his own personal "Gimp" outfit modeled after Couch's "husky" Gimp outfit he always has in office for emergency situations.
  
  
  
  Additonal highlights of his collection include an autographed picture of Dan Akroyd and Rosie O'Donnell in full S&M regalia. "I about dootied in my pants without permission when I found out Mr. Akroyd and Ms. O'Donnell were into S&M" Couch said. "I have always respected Mr. Akroyd's acting abilities and no one can question his skills. Plus, I am quite a detective and recently found out that Ms. O'Donnell is very single. Maybe I could get a date with her and have her punish me with her whiny, grating voice and gun control opinions?" He then proceed to eat nine cheese danishes without any mercy.
  
  
  
  Couch doesn’t limit his collecting to S&M-related items, though.
  
  “My passion at home is shrunken heads,” he says. “My dad is a retired voodoo priest and he gave me a collection of 140 shrunken heads. Over the years I’ve added to it and I now have over 200, including many drunk kids skulls I personally cracked and heads from the battlefields of the Civil War.”
  
  
  
  Even though Couch is right at home in the Slave’s chair—“Some of my fondest memories are of me at S&M kinder school at age 5 or 6 getting whipped by training Masters with licorice or shoe strings"—he’s moving to the other side. This spring he’s becoming a licensed "Master."
  
  “I’m looking forward to working at Shriner's conventions, old folks homes, or even here in Norwood passing on the knowledge. It' like an art form that must be passed on to all future generations...are you gonna eat that?"

I have no idea how Couch has any influence over anyone, even when I was a student he had no real influence. I can personally testify that the contents of this article are ture, because he always offered to let me off the hook for my various drinking offenses so long as I would participate in his leather games.   On another matter, does anyone know what Steve Gentry is up to these days. That guy was one of my favorites of all time, not so much because of his defensive skills (he was a stopper) or his high socks but because he sucked so bad at NBA Jam in the old University Center.   Here we go again with the inane debate about freedom/free speech/censorship and who has a bigger stick up their azz. Since I am posted the original offending post about Couch I think I should clear the air and puncture some balloons.
  
  My first post was deleted after five minutes from Gary. I e-mailed him, asked for his rationale and received a nice note explaining that "no one should be forced to look at Rosie O'Donnell in leather." While, I agreed with the substance of his arguement, I felt - as an artiste - that the post deserved another shot. I also believe our audience could handle the "pain" based on the facts that they have withstood numerous posts of "Jabba the Vest". Gary agreed to let me try again, but reserved the right to reconsider if "some one legit bitched enough." I then posted again and the post was deleted after one minute! Gary told me that he never saw it and the MM boys whacked it. I then posted my e-mail address and asked those who wanted to see it to request it. I received over 35 e-mails wanting the goods. I recently figured out a way to post the entire story on Pablo's site to preserve it for history and Pablo posted a notice here to notify all.
  
  Some points to ponder:
  
  Get Real asked me for the post on two different times. I believe he "doth protest too much" and cannot have it both ways. Get Real enjoyed my lampoon of "Riechmarshall Hermann Goering" Couch post but not the S&M Couch post - even though he wanted the opportunity to view them. I guess he just wanted to have that opportunity and no one else.
  
  MM has a difficult job. But, they also cannot have it both ways. You are zealots about always "protecting" the various audiences, but yet allow posts that glorify over 125 tales of drunken conquests and debauchery? Where is your outrage about five year olds reading that post? Legend also stated that " Pablo's board serves a purose...and it's a great place for all the posts that do not fit here." Fine, then post the link to Pablo's board at the top of this one to make it easy for all of us "idiots" to do so. What do you have to fear? PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS & POST PABLO'S LINK.
  
  XU Fan in DC: You believe that the "Couch post" does not belong here b/c of "qualitative" reasons, namely that MM "is a much more official looking board than (Pablo's)." I think looks are irrelevant. Don't you remember the last offical board looked almost exactly like Pablo's? Pablo's board got Judge Burlew to recuse himself, Pablo himself broke the story about Chalmers moving to the 2 , and Pablo's board seems to be filled with most of the popular posters on this MM board. Many could care less about which board has a better "look." Most come here for passionate discussion, analysis, inside scoop, and (gasp) humor about XU.
  
  Finally, the only thing I know about Oklahoma, Duke, & Notre Dame is that they have all beaten us. I could care less about their boards b/c I am certain they could care less about ours. I would like to beat them on the court as opposed to cyberspace.
  
  I also agree with Bee Pee that this is the off season and we should all relax. Hell, this is a only a basketball message board and not really important in the grand scheme of life.
  
  Finally, a board is successful only because of its posters. MusketerMadness would be nothing without a link to a message board. My guess is only a few come to their site for their analyses on the team and most come to the message board for the real news.
  
  I understand that a mini revolution is about to begin and they may get a direct competitor (if they want one) sooner rather than later.

  Seems as if the UC stuff has died down in the media and talk radio lately. It is already a non-topic. It always just goes away, and Bob Huggins lives to bitch another day. You can drug and rape an underage woman in the team hotel, and it just goes away. All Bob has to do is give no comment, and in a couple of weeks, it is old news.
  
  Had the victim not escaped, Donald Little would have killed that man. In a way, it kind of makes drugging and raping an underage girl child's play. They ignored conventional wisdom, ethics and morals in a quest for the ultimate run in the tourney.   I know everybody is talking about the possibility of Bob "Jabba the Vest" Huggins leaving for the backwater of WVU to join his brother Darryl and his other brother Darryl. I for one would not be happy if Jabba left - I think it would spiral the UC program into UNC mid major status, which is HAS BEEN. No longer would we be able to enjoy seeing Bobby Huggins on the sideline yell and yell almost bursting like that dude in Big Trouble in Little China b/c of his teams poor play or some perceived slight by the refs. And if UC ever got as bad as UNC is, there would be not as much joy in winning the Cross-Town Shootout if everybody knows they aren’t at the top of their game. And right now UC is at the top of their game and has had some great players in the recent years.
  
  I think Huggins made UC the program that they are (they are successful to say the least) and I think that most of the players come to UC b/c of him and his coaching success/style and lax attitude towards almost everything (including hygiene from what I hear) it would certainly hurt our rivalry b/c like it or not – Bob Huggins is the poster child for UC basketball. His tirades and what has gone on as far back as Pete Gillen has made this rivalry as heated as it is. So I for one will go on record saying that Jabba should not go.

  Boy were we lucky - by getting the bye on the first round our legs and conditioning helped us eke out the win yesterday before all of 123 people. If Chalmers did not make both of those FT's we would have lost the game on a last second shot. We looked like crapola yesterday and hope we can pick it up tonight and get a win. The intentional foul was horrible and I am sorry for David's injury. The umASS (emphasis on ASS) coach sucks - period. What a whiner and I am glad they got beat - no matter how ugly. West made a sweet move into the lane for a clutch basket - that and Satos performance are the only good things that came out of yesterday.

  During the Dayton game at the Cintas Center earlier this year Sato was fouled while shooting. The refs were unable to determine whether it was a 2 point shot or a 3 point shot. To find the answer they went to the scorer’s table to review the tape. After further review it was determined that his feet were beyond the arc and he was given three free throws.
  Without television coverage for tonight’s game what happens if this comes up. Are there other ways to review? Do the refs go into the stands and ask D West father if they can review the tape on his cam corder? Do they have a fan poll where applause determines the correct call?
  We often talk about how the lack of TV hurts us with recruiting and general PR for the university, but this could be much much worse.
  What if the call in question is needed for the outcome of a game and we do not have this resource available to us because of a bad TV contract. We have seen officials review tape to determine last second shots this season, it could easily happen to X. This situation could end up being far more costly than preventing out of state alumni from being able to watch their team.

  I don't usually like to start Wednesdays with bad news, but today the New and Improved Musketeer Madness message board that was heralded to be the savior for all of us Muskie Fans is down. Again. It seems that when the owners of the site turns his computer off, the site goes away. I applaud their effort, but they either need to fix the problems once and for all - or walk away. There are just too many fans that need these boards on an hourly basis and to compete with these problems on a day to day really is starting to irk some X fans that I have talked to.
  
  Musketeer Madness has made large strides to become the end all be all place for Muskie related news/info and they made a huge effort to consolidate the ever popular message board into their own site and control of the servers. They are failing. I know they are trying and bless them for that, but fix the problems or create another Voyforum board so they don't have to worry about server problems.
  
  I have thanked the Musketeer Madness lads (even though they still refuse to link to any other board) and they do a great job. But they need to focus on this latest problem to make things perfect.

  Today was an important win for us, with the level of intensity/execution and talent that we showed today - we might not have lost a couple of games that we did. This was good for the team to get the cohesiveness and success back before tourney time (A-10 and the big dance). Sato got his groove back (Stella stole it) and West had a great game. I appreciate Chalmers, but for some reason I feel better when Williams is in the game. Alvin Brown showed in a short time that he can be an impact player and should possibly be given the opportunity. I also think Jackson's athletic ability will continue to amaze us for the next couple of years.

  GENEVA - A fun-filled bachelor party at a strip club turned deadly when a 32-year-old groom-to-be who was enjoying the attentions of a well-endowed stripper suffocated while his face was buried in her breasts.
  
  The mind-boggling drama unfolded, say cops, while Daniel Greene was attending his bachelor party at the Pretty Kitty strip club.
  
  The club had been rented out for the private affair.
  
  According to investigators, Greene was enjoying a lap dance when disaster struck: One of the strippers, Kandy Kane, got too into her performance and suffocated the man between her 72-DD breasts.
  
  Witnesses said that Greene had had his fair share of beer, but didn't seem out-of-control.
  
  When the song "I'm Too Sexy" began to play, Greene became excited and began to dance on the tabletop, hooting and hollering, pals said, "like an idiot."
  
  Miss Kane, apparently pleased to see someone enjoying her choice in music, moved in closer.
  
  When Greene took his seat, she began giving him a lap dance, shaking her breasts in his face.
  
  The more she shook, the deeper Greene got lost in her cleavage.
  
  "Daniel was having so much fun," partygoer John Gillman said.

  "We hope that by filing this lawsuit, we can send a message to other strippers: keep your bra size within a reasonable range."
  
  Kandy Kane made a statement through her attorneys: "I thought he liked it in there. "

  • I have been asking that question for a decade. Bearcat cager Lou Banks went on trial for raping not one, not two, but three women under Huggins. He had two lawyers, and one was the same guy who did the William Kennedy Smith trial for Court TV. How does a dirt poor kid from New Jersey do it? John Burlew used to bill out around $500.00 an hour, but he couldn't stop taking Bearcat pro bono cases. He would spend a whole week just in Jury selection. Most galling was last year's Tim Sullivan piece regarding B.J. Grove's alleged battering of his pregnant girlfriend. Sullie portrayed it as a He said-She said scenario. What he neglected to mention were the police photos depicting a bruised, battered woman and Prosecutor Mike Allen's comments reflecting disappointment that the case didn't proceed.
  So where is the outrage? You can bet Lance McAlister has all but forgotten about that poor woman who was just the latest victim of the slobbbering, clobbering Cats. Clifton is shrouded in sin and citizens shouldn't be concerned with a U.C. fastbreak as much as jailbreak.

  Just some friendly advice here. You can control the "message quoting" in the subject line yourself. Just log-in and click on 'display settings'. Then scroll down to the 'enable/disable display features'. Make sure the 2 options that start out as "Reply Box" are NOT checked.
  
  We've used this format since the beginning on the Bona board and it is much easier to reply to messages when you don't have to manually delete the previous subject every time. I wish the A-10 board would use this option.

  Last Saturday I discussed Donald Little, and how Bob Huggins was working to get him back in black for the fall. On Wednesday, the Enquirer came out with an article that was basically a UC Press Release. Bill Koch is a fine publicist for The Machine. Seems like Bob Goin has had a change of heart. The man that said that Donald Little is done now wants to give him another chance. He should be checked for a hand up his ass, because he is just a puppeteer for the Bob Huggins Political Machine.
  
  In one of his current criminal cases, Donald Little was caught driving drunk and probably on drugs as well. He had drugs in his possession. He pleaded that down to reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and driving with an open container. He paid minor fines.
  
  Around here, if I were caught driving drunk and high, with drugs on me, driving without a license, I would be facing at the least a mandatory three days in jail. You simply don't get the opportunity to plead that down to reckless op and an open container. You have to be connected to have the prosecutor throw you that bone. The Bob Huggins Political Machine is connected.
  
  It should be noted that nowhere in the article did Machine publicist Bill Koch even mention the initial drug charge. It simply went away. UC AD Bob Goin even had the sack to claim the charges were false. Note to Bob Goin, a plea bargain doesn't give somebody innocence. Does anyone actually believe that Donald Little wasn't drunk and that the drugs weren't found? That is what Bob Goin wants you to believe, and Bill Koch doesn't question it.
  
  Bill Koch also brought up Donald Little's other criminal case that went to court today. But what he didn't bring up was the fact that BJ Grove and three other UC basketball players were reported to be involved in the same incident. That is has never been addressed after the initial reports of it in the Cincinnati media. Is BJ Grove still wanted on felony charges? If I saw him in the summer league, should you have called 911? What happened?
  
  Puppet Bob Goin is the 4th AD under Bob Huggins tenure. Years ago, he instituted a zero tolerance policy against Domestic Violence after Shawn Myrick plead guilty to rape in the team hotel. Shawn rapped a woman the night before a game at the Vernon Manner, in the same hotel that the team and coaches were staying in. Of course, charges were not filed until the end of the season. Your tax dollars paid them to stay 5 minutes away from their dorm rooms and rape women. Huggs can't even control those animals when they are under lock and key. Bob and his coaches must run a tight curfew.

  So why is Bob Goin so confident about Donald Little's return, given his zero tolerance policy against Domestic Violence? Little still has a court case pending for Domestic violence, so why is Bob so eager?
  
  The answer is one John Burlew. Judge John Burlew. Yes, that is the same John Burlew.
  
  John Burlew made a name for himself in the media for defending and winning cases against UC Basketball Players. He was in the papers, on WLW, and he became a quasi celebrity. He defended Arthur Long, Danny Fortson, Ruben Patterson and others. He won them all. His most recent victory was in the Demarco McClesky rape trial. The Patterson case was one of my favorites. Ruben used a bedboard to bash open a woman's skull, and Burlew intimidated the woman into withdrawing the charges.
  
  For almost a decade, John Burlew was the lead man in the UC Criminal defense team. He kept them on the court for Coach Huggins. He is a personal friend of Bob Huggins. Today, Judge John Burlew took the Donald Little case.
  
  Donald Little's Lawyers filed a motion today to waive their right to a jury trial, and a new hearing was set. They initially had petitioned for a jury trial, but declined the right once John Burlew got the case. By doing this, they made John Burlew the judge and jury in the Donald Little case. Does anything scream conflict of interest to you?
  
  John Burlew is a personal friend of Bob Huggins, and he has fought for years to keep his kids free. In August, he will get to decide the fate of Donald Little. That is why Bob Goin is already talking about reinstatement. Once this is past, it will be like it never happened to Mr. Goin. Another false charge. This case is rigged, but you would never hear questions of conflict of interest if you read the Enquirer. I wonder if they will even mention his obvious connection to Bob Huggins and the program. That is not ethical reporting.
  
  The Bob Huggins political machine keeps rolling. Bob Huggins is the most powerful man in Cincinnati sport. He has Judges, Prosecutors, and the Media in his back pocket (they would probably be up his ass if someone could get Mike OfCoursey to come out).
  
  The smokescreen that you see today is the same one that you have been seeing for a decade, only better. Through all the rapes, assaults, batteries and the like, one thing remains clear: Bob Huggins has no integrity.

  Nice article in the Post today. Nice to see a reference to The Bob Huggins Political Machine in print.
  
  With all the talk about the incident that happened at this bar, a few facts are left out everytime they put it to print. BJ Grove hit a guy in the head with a barstool, and sent him to the hospital. 3 other UC Bearcats were also with them in the scuffle. Why are these facts omitted? Why has the media never followed up with the eyewitnesess?
  
  Let us play pretend and switch the facts around...
  
  Lets say 5 Cincinnati Reds players were involved in a barfight. Do you think that would get coverage? Would Lance McAlister talk about that?
  
  What if 5 Bengals were in a brawl in which one innocent man was hospitalized with a severe head wound and a young girl was punched and kicked while on the ground? Would Andy Furman allow calls on that?
  
  The media, print, radio and TV would be going crazy.
  
  In this case, no follow up was ever given after the inital press reports. BJ Grove was accused of his second violent felony in less than a year, but it went away. It simply vanished into thin air. Swept under the carpet by the Bob Huggins Political Machine. Without our efforts, Donald Little would be care free today.
  
  5 or 6 years ago, 2 Xavier players were involved in a bar fight. No woman was brutalized, and no man was sent to the hospital, but it was a media feeding frenzy. Andy Furman couldn't stop talking about it. He called on Xavier to rescind their bid to the NCAA. The papers wrote stories, and Paul Daugherty wrote a pious piece about it himself. And this was before the case went to trial. The players were aquitted, but still suspended by the University for their part in the squabble.
  
  Where is Paul Daugherty when it happens to UC. He loves Huggins. He writes about how Bob is just a "regular guy". You won't hear a thing from him. You also won't hear it from Bill Koch, who lets Bob Goin openly lie in his press releases. And Andy Furman is the worst, he won't even let it be a topic on his show.
  
  If it were us, it would be news. If it were any other city it would be news. But if it is Huggs band of violent thugs, it is not news. I am glad we got biased Burlew off the case, but it is only a small victory. Most of the incident has already been swept under the carpet by the Bob Huggins Political Machine.
  
  Bob Huggins has no integrity, and neither does the Cincinnati media.

  Well, TBHPM was successful! Ch 19 just had a 2-3 minute story on the case, including a shot of the 'POST' by TBHPM as reposted by MR. Truth. They had a slant indicating similar, although watered down, to the posting, pointing out how J. Burlew has represented several UC players in the past, including one of Little's witnesses. Of Course, Burlew has used the witness as his excuse for recusing himself. TAKE IT TO THE BANK --- If it weren't for the post, Burlew would have never recused himself!

  I must say, I had my doubts about this board when it was first created. It didn't seem to provide much news of any relevance at first. However, I'm now happy Pablo started it. I've never heard of an Internet basketball message board creating such a stir in the Cincinnati news. It is good that this board allowed this topic to be posted and brought out into the public's awareness. Without it, most of us would have never heard about Judge Burlew and his link to UC basketball. Very impressive, and it's good to see that we have two boards to read some quality posts and find out news like this.

  I would also like to thank Pablo for providing this forum, where issues like this can be brought to public light.
  
  This board and its postings were reprinted and presented in court yesterday, to make a case against Judge John Burlew being the Judge in the Donald Little trial. This was reported and shown on FOX19 News last night, along with one angry Judge, who happens to be our own John Burlew.
  
  I do not know who brought the postings to the attention to the prosecutor. It wasn't me. Whoever it was, I am sure that Jennifer Hemmelgarn, (the young woman who was assaulted) thanks you. I bet that she wasn't aware of Burlew's obvious connection to Bob Huggins and the UC Program.
  
  Mr. Burlew was very angry to be taken off the case, and he resented the posts that came from this forum. If he had any shred of ethical backbone, he would have taken himself off the case when he orignally got the case (however he got the case, nudge nudge).
  
  This case has gotten very little press. The papers and the media resisted in even mentioning any tie that John Burlew had to the program until he was already off the case. Without this board, that case would have been tried yesterday, and it would have been a done deal.
  
  I emailed the reporter who was interested. He can feel free to email me back, or better yet, post his questions to this board.

  Judge Burlew told the Enquirer that knowing the witness was the only reason he recused himself.

  I work in the courthouse, so I swung by to check out the Donald Little case today. I was amazed at what I saw. Everybody in the court room was given a copy of the "John Burlew and My Alcohol Problem" post by THE BOB HUGGINS POLITICAL MACHINE. I am not kidding. At the last minute, Judge John Burlew recused himself in disgust. And he even attacked this beloved website and TBHPM.
  
  The girl that got the boot from 6-10 Donald Little, Jennifer whatshername, well she is quite a cutie, but she could show a little more skin.

  Just as this board started to gain momentum, everything came to screeching halt with the dog days of summer. To pass the time we could design plays for Thad, debate defensive sets, list our all time favorite Musketeers or talk about summer league standings. Personally I find all of this to be quite boring, and over done at another board which will remain nameless.
  
  To fill the time I suggest we make fun of Gary. These were all good but I think we can do better. I encourage all of you to let loose, it’s hot outside tempers a raging, there is nothing new to report on Xavier basketball……lets let Gary have it. Lets hear from people that went to school with Gary, I want to hear the stories about that time when Gary and his friend stole the cow and then they made it with the cow. Lets hear the stories about the odd places that his sister used to put his clarinet in high school.

  Donald Little's days as a Bearcat might not be over after all. Despite his multiple run ins with Cincinnati's Finest, despite recently kicking a female at a Clifton bar, Donald Little might still be a Bearcat. Unbelievable.
  
  BJ Grove was never charged with the felony for busting a man's skull open with a barstool in the same altercation. The police had eyewitnesses and hospital records, but the people from the bar decided not to come forward with charges. This was less than a year after BJ Grove was indicted on felony charges by a Hamilton County Grand Jury for throwing his girlfriend in a bathtub and busting beer bottles on her head. She also withdrew the charges. BJ spent his childhood in a Juvenile prison, for assaulting people at his highschool. He has committed two felonies, very violent crimes in the last year. Because of the Bob Huggins Political Machine, BJ Grove has a spotless criminal record. Is poor BJ Grove a victim of circumstance? Do people accidentally get bludgeoned about the head and neck when he is around? The media has never followed up on the BJ Grove felony story. One day, police were looking for him on felony charges, the next day, nothing. No retraction, no follow up, no interviews with eyewitnesses or involved parties. Swept under the carpet by the Bob Huggins Political Machine.
  
  So while the summer waynes, just remember that our buddy Bob Huggins is currently working behind the scenes to get Donald Little back in black. Huggs supporters praised him for "Doing the right thing" when he kicked Little off the team. Wait for the reinstatement. Huggs will be back in his Father Flanigan role, a Saint for giving this young man a chance. God Bless Bob Huggins, nobody else would dare give those poor inner city kids a chance.
  
  Funny how Ace McGhee had his scholarship taken away from him, and how Marko Wright was kicked off the team when they realized he had no talent. Where was their second chance? Johhny Carson came and went. Where was the second chance for the 250 pound point guard? Charles Williams tried to sue the University for his second chance.
  
  But give Father Bob a talented pivot, and he is gracious enough never to run out of chances. Art Long was given at least 4 or 5 chances. He was a felon before he hit campus, and they rewrote policy to admit him. Once on campus he beat up the mother of his child and slugged a police horse. BJ Grove is HEADing for the same outcome with his consistent pattern of violent crime. And poor Donald Little looks to be back in the fold in fall.
  
  After all, don't we all deserve a second chance? Thank God for Bob Huggins.

  Last Saturday I discussed Donald Little, and how Bob Huggins was working to get him back in black for the fall. On Wednesday, the Enquirer came out with an article that was basically a UC Press Release. Bill Koch is a fine publicist for The Machine. Seems like Bob Goin has had a change of heart. The man that said that Donald Little is done now wants to give him another chance. He should be checked for a hand up his ass, because he is just a puppeteer for the Bob Huggins Political Machine.
  
  In one of his current criminal cases, Donald Little was caught driving drunk and probably on drugs as well. He had drugs in his possession. He pleaded that down to reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and driving with an open container. He paid minor fines.
  
  Around here, if I were caught driving drunk and high, with drugs on me, driving without a license, I would be facing at the least a mandatory three days in jail. You simply don't get the opportunity to plead that down to reckless op and an open container. You have to be connected to have the prosecutor throw you that bone. The Bob Huggins Political Machine is connected.
  
  It should be noted that nowhere in the article did Machine publicist Bill Koch even mention the initial drug charge. It simply went away. UC AD Bob Goin even had the sack to claim the charges were false. Note to Bob Goin, a plea bargain doesn't give somebody innocence. Does anyone actually believe that Donald Little wasn't drunk and that the drugs weren't found? That is what Bob Goin wants you to believe, and Bill Koch doesn't question it.
  
  Bill Koch also brought up Donald Little's other criminal case that went to court today. But what he didn't bring up was the fact that BJ Grove and three other UC basketball players were reported to be involved in the same incident. That is has never been addressed after the initial reports of it in the Cincinnati media. Is BJ Grove still wanted on felony charges? If I saw him in the summer league, should you have called 911? What happened?
  
  Puppet Bob Goin is the 4th AD under Bob Huggins tenure. Years ago, he instituted a zero tolerance policy against Domestic Violence after Shawn Myrick plead guilty to rape in the team hotel. Shawn rapped a woman the night before a game at the Vernon Manner, in the same hotel that the team and coaches were staying in. Of course, charges were not filed until the end of the season. Your tax dollars paid them to stay 5 minutes away from their dorm rooms and rape women. Huggs can't even control those animals when they are under lock and key. Bob and his coaches must run a tight curfew.

  So why is Bob Goin so confident about Donald Little's return, given his zero tolerance policy against Domestic Violence? Little still has a court case pending for Domestic violence, so why is Bob so eager?
  
  The answer is one John Burlew. Judge John Burlew. Yes, that is the same John Burlew.
  
  John Burlew made a name for himself in the media for defending and winning cases against UC Basketball Players. He was in the papers, on WLW, and he became a quasi celebrity. He defended Arthur Long, Danny Fortson, Ruben Patterson and others. He won them all. His most recent victory was in the Demarco McClesky rape trial. The Patterson case was one of my favorites. Ruben used a bedboard to bash open a woman's skull, and Burlew intimidated the woman into withdrawing the charges.
  
  For almost a decade, John Burlew was the lead man in the UC Criminal defense team. He kept them on the court for Coach Huggins. He is a personal friend of Bob Huggins. Today, Judge John Burlew took the Donald Little case.
  
  Donald Little's Lawyers filed a motion today to waive their right to a jury trial, and a new hearing was set. They initially had petitioned for a jury trial, but declined the right once John Burlew got the case. By doing this, they made John Burlew the judge and jury in the Donald Little case. Does anything scream conflict of interest to you?
  
  John Burlew is a personal friend of Bob Huggins, and he has fought for years to keep his kids free. In August, he will get to decide the fate of Donald Little. That is why Bob Goin is already talking about reinstatement. Once this is past, it will be like it never happened to Mr. Goin. Another false charge. This case is rigged, but you would never hear questions of conflict of interest if you read the Enquirer. I wonder if they will even mention his obvious connection to Bob Huggins and the program. That is not ethical reporting.
  
  The Bob Huggins political machine keeps rolling. Bob Huggins is the most powerful man in Cincinnati sport. He has Judges, Prosecutors, and the Media in his back pocket (they would probably be up his ass if someone could get Mike OfCoursey to come out).
  
  The smokescreen that you see today is the same one that you have been seeing for a decade, only better. Through all the rapes, assaults, batteries and the like, one thing remains clear: Bob Huggins has no integrity.

  Last night, while enjoying myself playing skeet bowling at a little Redneck joint by the name of the Dew Drop Inn, I happened to stumble upon Reggie Butler at the corner of the bar.
  Telling Cowboy, my bowling partner, that I would be back to finish out the tenth frame, I went and spoke with the one and only Reggie Butler. As I strolled over to talk to Reggie, he quickly took down a Snakebite and Buttery Nipple shot. Now, I've drank with the best of them including Tony Curtis, and Big Reg can hold his own.
  Anyways, after shaking off a NRA fan named Black Bart with an autograph, I talked to Reggie. He said that he was very upset that the Grizzlies did not sign him. However, he also said that he would be traveling to Turkey to play in a league. Unfortunately, he said that he was worried about traveling to a foreign country, especially since he didn't think he could fit all of his belongings into his Xavier University Bookstore Bag.
  Whatever the case, I have agreed to talk to my agent in order to land Big Reg some acting spots. His first task is going to be to appear in a Little Bow Wow or Xzibit video, two of my favorite homeboys. What it is bro. Then, on from there, the sky is the limit for my favorite XU warrior.

  This morning, while sipping my morning java and taking in the splendor that is early morning Los Angeles visa vie the view off Mulholland Drive, I happened across an interesting story in today's Los Angeles Times. It appears one of their earnest reporters watched all of the Planet of the Apes films, starting with my classic effort in the first one, in mad preparation of the new foray into Apedom. This, of course, put a bee in my bonnet. How could Hollywood cast an underwear model as a NASA astronaut? NASA would not allow a piece of fluff himbo bounce around in his jockey shorts at anytime, even today. Next you're going to tell me this character will have an earring or good gads, some other pierced part of his anatomy!
  I understand that this board has a lot of young members, some (sigh) who might not be as familiar with my work. I implore these youngsters (or their parents) to go rent (or buy) some of my films, especially the original Planet movie. Here you will see something long since forgotten in this town, a film with a story. Poignant acting, chilling drama and me in all my chiseled glory (I fasted for a week before shooting and once it began, ate only celery and tepid water to retain my stunning physique).
  
  While some of you might be lured into the theatres, that's fine, but understand the roots of the story. See the classic first, then watch the new one with the underwear model person. I suspect you won't be disappointed. Look for a stunning beauty, Linda Harrison, as the mute Nova. What a treasure!

  I am concerned about Sato.
  
  Jeff Battle excelled at taking guards under his wing and helping them evolve and fill out weak spots. With him gone, I am wondering how Thad (or the assistant responsible for guards) will work him. OR will Sato be considered a small forward under Thad's system? Who knows?
  
  Sato is a gifted athlete who needs more experience to become truly unstoppable. I saw him at the Oak Hills games and he looked like he added another 10 lbs. in upper body strength. I know these games are not a true test. He did slash more to the basket but often failed to complete his drive. He can still jump out of the gym. His threes were excellent and I think he is great with that aspect of his game. Defense was weak. He was lost in some sets and often failed to read the defense and got caught in many a screen (sound like last year?)
  
  I think Sato will be great - in his Senior year. I hope I am wrong, but I think he needs time to focus on his defense, ball handling, and overall "court sense." Unfortunately we need him to be a alternative to West's inside game next year with his outside shot, and a complement with his slashing/more inside play.
  
  How Thad handles Sato will be a big task for him next year that will have major implications on our program.

  • Sato will be fine with Thad, he's a great coach. We had three frosh guards last year with Chalmers, Sato and Young. We had the worst fg% in over 3 decades of basketball. Even with teams sagging and double teaming West, our guards missed shot after open shot. The freshman/soph transition is said to be one of the biggest leaps, and these guys have to get it done for us to really dangerous. I think that it can happen. For people to come to either board and read children bickering about whose feelings were hurt (not just Gary) and how unfair everyone is (not just Gary) and how we like to talk about everything about anything except Xavier Basketball. We are all above this, let's act like it.
