I've used the milk thistle BTW, I keep it in the house (It's a good antodote for many kinds of poisoning due to its liver protectant properties). It is often advised for people undergoing chemo too. I also use echinacea regularly for immune system boosting, it increases white blood cellls to help ward off infection but this causes some concern in any type of auto-immune disease so care may be needed with that one possibly. There are others I have used for myself, family and my animals but I am becoming hesitant to talk about them via the net in case anyone thinks they are "wonder" cures and besides that I am self taught and not a qualified herbalist and even more than any of that when I want to treat something I think long and hard about what and how and why and then I research everything (even stuff I've already used or read about dozens if not hundreds of times already) and then I caustiosly set about doing what I think needs to be done. That's almost imposiible to do over the net which is why I suggested you consult with a local qualified herbalist if possible. I do think there are things that may help extend Bill's quality of life and protect him against the worst of the side effects of the drugs he's on.

Hugs and keep us posted.
