Sisera had chariots and fearsome armor. He was the commander in chief of the army of Jabin, king of Canaan, and had the power of a mechanized state behind him that taught might makes right. Yet he died because the agenda he pursued was in opposition to the very warp and woof of the universe created by God.

The CofC can sue all its opponents (as it did Maria Christina in the 1980's) and seize their homes, and can prosecute them for trespassing and throw them in jail by the power of the state, and it can recognize the power of the state to authorize homosexuality; however, when the state decides that it is so powerful that the laws of nature: physics, psychology, biology, finance, and sociology and geology are subject to its will, disaster occurs. The CofC's increasingly heavy dependence upon secular law does not bode well for it.
