Not in my mind. But you deliberately and knowingly insinuated that a lot of confirmed bachelors are, when you coupled your comment about ordained church officials of days gone by being bachelors with your claim that the church has always unknowingly ordained homosexuals.

By now, you should be aware that the state of California is teaching 12 year olds that it is all right for them to have sex without their parents knowing about it. From that stems the immediate perception that liberals absolutely believe that anyone past puberty is having some kind of sex. I seriously doubt that many liberals take the Old Testament seriously when it condemns premarital sex while reporting that Jacob and others didn't get married until they were nearly forty years old. The unspoken assumption for a liberal is that Jacob and Joseph ben Jacob were banging somebody or something (or each other) between puberty and marriage, and that Jesus was getting into somebody's pants, because real men just don't do anything else. The scriptures' failure to mention any such thing is meaningless to liberals, because they "instinctively know" many things that contradict the Bible.

Liberals reject any serious acceptance of the scriptures as historical fact rather than myths and fables, because the scriptures simply do not fit their preconceived notion of the world.

Do you honestly think for one minute that anybody in the First Presidency actually believes that Joseph didn't have sex with Potiphar's wife unless she was ugly? Joseph's reported chasteness just doesn't fit the modern perception of truth that they have endorsed, and they couldn't possibly buy into it.

If the First Presidency did believe that Joseph had said No to sex, wouldn't you suppose they'd have some idea that people who (for some reason or other) can't marry those for whom they have the "hots" could be chaste? And if you believed it, you wouldn't insinuate that the historical leaders of the Restored Church who were never married were possible homosexual priests.

A man can't discuss much of anything without revealing his world-view, John. And yours shows just as surely as mine.
