Subject: What May Ultimately Save the Nation

I mentioned earlier how the courts have systematically excluded Christianity from government and from schools on the false premise of "separation of church and state."

IN one case, the Supreme Court ruled that since the Ten Commandments are numbered differently from Catholicisim, to Protestantism, to Judaism, to Lutheranism (shocking Lutherans who thought they were Protestants.) But this ultimately may play in the favor of those who oppose promotion of homosexuality by the government.

Since some churches promote homosexuality as a divine gift, and others disagree, the promotion of homosexuality and same sex marriage may be declared a denominational and theological issue that has no place in government or in the schools. In fact, that may be the way to oppose the promotion of homosexuality, calling it "sectarianism."
After all Roman Catholicism rejects homosexuality, as do Protestant churches. Post Christian churches (such as the American Epicopal Church and the CofC endorse it heartily as a divine gift. Wouldn't you think this was a more serious theological disagreement than the numbering of the commandments?

After all, promoting same-sex marriage may now be viewed as state promotion of Episcopal, Unitarian, and Communitarisn doctrines in preference to Methodist or Roman Catholic doctrines.

George
