Subject: Seeing the light

Having lived in Oklahoma for nearly all of my life, it has not been apparent to me how pathetic and backward this state really is. Beer cannot contain more than 3.2% alcohol. The stripper laws are ridiculous. The football team, has been horrible for the better part of the last 15 years, and actually started Brandon Daniels at quarterback. The basketball team is coached by Kelvin Sampson. The King has been gone for 15 years. Since that time, 2 Okies and a Schnelly fell flat on their faces. In order to return to prominence, what did they do? They looked UP, both metaphorically and directionally.

Up there, the beer contains more than 3.2% alcohol. And that alcohol can be served in the same building that features completely naked women. Up there, they actually had people that could fix the broken-down wreck of a football program that OU had become. Up there, the stock of people is intellectually and morally superior.

Up there is the future of RhitTaker. Being stuck in this pit of state, I dream about and long for the grandiosity that exists up there. I pledge my allegience to those special members of RhitTaker that will dominate the league from up there. I only hope to finish in the top half of the league, along with BC, Walts II & III, Mario, and Chazz.

I proudly consider myself a Kansan.
