When we last left our Hero, Mega Man X was locked in stasis deep in the underbelly of New Doppler Town. Zero was speeding on a hover bike to the massive Island city. Dr. Doppler had managed to build his long awaited utopia, but as such, the city was still without power, and utilities. Enlisting the help of eight specalists, Dr. Doppler was hoping to get the city on-line within the week.
Meanwhile, up in space, Sigma was occupied with the relentless attack on his forces. Suffering a great loss to his army, he was being led down the path to defeat, and destruction. This would be the vengance Dr. Doppler had come to claim from him. This was his payback for infecting, and destroying the original Doppler Town.
Zero on the other hand was not looking for revenge, he was looking for his friend Mega Man X. X was being stored in Doppler's vault, and was being gaurded by Bit and Byte.
Doppler's eight specalists had been forced to comply with his wishes, or else see something they cared for destroyed.
