Dr. Doppler walked into his chambers. His lab coat flowed behind him like a cape. Vile sat with his legs up on the desk, leaning back in Doppler's chair.
"Vile!", Doppler snapped in surprise.
"What's the matter Doppler, I thought you'd be happy to seem me?!", Vile hissed.
"Who let you into my private chambers?"
"Your security sucks, you know? My grandmother could get in here blindfolded."
"Reploids DO NOT have gradmothers Vile! Stop wasting my time with your foolishness. What do you want?"
"What!? How dare you talk to me like that! After what I did for you?", Vile yelled back.
Dr. Doppler swayed a little bit, and leaned against the desk. He held his hand to his head. "Ooh My head..."
"What? What is it?", Vile asked. He didn't like to worry about others, but the reaction just came out from him.
"It is alright, I just need some rest. I've been working really hard for the past day and a half. Not much rest."
"That's no reason to get all pissy with me!", Vile scolded.
"Sigma IS dead then?", Doppler asked.
"Yes. I saw him die. The search teams found a few parts from Reploids, but they're trying to match his DNA data with the sample they have of him."
"Such a strange phrase. DNA is the genetic code found in humans. Reploids do not have a genetic code.", Doppler reasoned.
"Well, it isn't too hard to understand. Each Reploid is given a specific set of protocols, and his or her own Program code. It might not be genetic, but it is still a code nonetheless.", Vile answered back.
"In that case, excersise extreme caution in the search operation!", Doppler warned.
"What for? Sigma is DEAD!"
"Yes, but if his DNA data were found...then think of what that could mean!? This is very dangerous."
"What do you mean?", Vile asked.
"You do not know? Oh of course not...how could you have known? You were not around when I discovered this...I never told you this about Sigma but..."
"What? What is it?", Vile asked. His voice strained a little, and he seemed tense, and rigid. He almost started to get worried.
"Sigma's true form is a Virus! The data actually takes on a form unlike any I've ever seen. Even I'm afraid to analyze it! I did last time, and look what happened! If the search teams find anything, I want know immediately. I do not want to even think that Sigma could return. He's like a weed. You have to kill the root if you want to make sure he won't ever come back!"
"Doc, I wouldn't worry about Sigma this time. That ship went up. I saw it go myself! Even if Sigma was a virus...and even if he is as powerful as you say....there's NO WAY, and I mean NONE that he could have survived! There wasn't enough left of that cruiser to fill an ash tray!
He's discintegrated. There's nothing to worry about. Our search teams threw every type of scan, and test we can possibly preform. He's gone!"
"Alright then. I'll believe you, but get everyone out of there. I want everyone to return to the garrison on Mars. And just in case, do not let anyone from the crew up there return to Earth! In matters of Sigma, one cannot be too careful!"
