highly intelligent and educated as DD is, I have found that some of them have a lower tolerance for criticism and a lower acceptance level for people who aren't as smart of educated. I do think though, that if DD plays his cards right, he can learn how to avoid being roasted by disgruntled fans and find out who his real ones are. I was irritated by the way the whole David Letterman interview went--the coffee interruption was an example of trying too hard to be funny (overkill!) that just didn't work. My first thought was that they were trying to tell DD to chill out--drink decaf and he responded like I probably would have as well. I enjoyed his interview with GA--was really good and showed his sense of wry humor which I do like much better than Letterman's. I have seen him also on earlier shows with DL--they did seem to go better than this one did.
I wish he would figure out that to make his fans happy, he would continue somehow with the XFiles show. He did allude to XFiles movies so I am hopeful that we will see one or more in the future.
I wish 'Return to Me' would hurry up and get up to our neck of the woods soon! It's being advertised on TV but that's the closest it has gotten here (other than movie previews at the theaters.)
