Subject: Fox stars seem to get the best publicity

I'm just wondering if anybody else has noticed that actors and actresses from Fox shows seem to get a lot more publicity than stars from higher-rated shows on other networks? I've seen this mentioned before by various television critics, but a couple of recent events really brought it to my attention. Examples:
In the past couple of months, the stars of "The X-Files" have been featured on the covers of both Entertainment Weekly and TV Guide. The stars of my other favorite show, the military drama "JAG" on CBS — which consistently gets higher ratings than "XF" and which also features a dreamy-looking lead actor with the first name of David — haven't been featured on the covers of anything. Also, the "JAG" stars don't seem to get invited to play on celebrity editions of game shows and stuff like that. (Or maybe they get invited and just don't want to do it?)
In new shows, the same thing is applicable using "CSI" and "Dark Angel" as examples. Now, I've never seen a single ep of either "CSI" or "DA", so I've got no opinion as to which is the "better" show in terms of quality. I do know that "CSI" gets *MUCH* better ratings than "DA". Yet the star of "DA" is featured on both the cover of this week's TV Guide and this week's Parade magazine. The stars of "CSI" don't get anywhere near that kind of coverage.
Does anybody else find this. . .odd?
