Subject: Some questions and a defense of Mrs. M...

Again this post is taken from the archive in response to comments about Mrs. Mulder's bad timing regrding her suicide. I am not much of a fan of Mrs. Mulder but as I said this is a defense of Mrs. M...

but only a little. More like trying to understand her choice of when to do this. She did call Mulder and ask when he was coming home and that she wanted to talk to him. He told her he didn't know and it gave the impression that he might be out of town or a long time. We don't know what kind of pain she was in but maybe she felt she couldn't stand it much longer.

She may not have planned to tell him about her illness, but only talk to him about Sam and whatever else she knew. If she told im about her illness she knew he would try to preent her from taking her life. Maybe that's one reason she did it then, because he was out of town and thought this would somehow make it easier (it wouldn't!) and also keep him from learning she was ill.

But if she really wanted to tell him something important why didn't she leave a note? Or give him a clue where he could find what she wanted to say to him? A letter locked in a safe deposit box, maybe? So this brings up the question of whether or not she really did kill herself at that time. If it was so improtant that she talk to him, why would she suddenly say, to heck with it and leave things unsaid?

And why burn the photos? Wouldn't she want Fox to have them?
