What a good idea this one was. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had all the elements of a regular episode including M & S arguing, implausible 'monster' theories and a totally inconclusive plot, but there was a very fresh approach to the investigation of the X File. In some ways, the video camera was not important - Mulder and Scully spoke as they always do, with each other. When the film crew were imposing on them and pushing to accompany them etc, it was great to see how the two reacted. Mulder, as always, was totally unselfconscious. All the years of promoting his theories in the face of Scully's scepticism meant Mulder jumped at the chance to get TV air time for his them. I loved how Mulder kept trying to engage the camera crew, by explaining what was going on. In the car, with Scully and the crew, he went into totally boring mode as he tried to hold forth on the nature of their job. Classic. Scully was the opposite - totally against the exposure she was receiving and being reluctantly forced to go along with when Skinner said "The FBI has nothing to hide".

I liked the concept behind this episode a lot. I laughed a lot during the action and I liked how we were watching not just DD as Mulder - but DD, as Mulder, being self-conscious in front of a camera. Mulder and Scully, but with the spotlight on them in a distinctive way. What did other people think of this one?
